Drizzly fog in am. Then turned to rain clouds. Calm no wind. Breeze picked up in afternoon. First band of light misty rain encountered while driving from Petaluma to Santa Rosa. That rain started at Rohnert Park to Santa Rosa at 4:20pm. Almost quit by time got to Santa Rosa. Then rain started about 8:15pm while driving home at about Todd Rd. Winds picked up about midnight. Dog is not liking wind and rain to go out do his business in it. |

24 DEGREES OUT !!!! Heavy frost and ice, birdbath frozen solid and cat's outdoor water 3' from house has 1/4" of ice on it. Dog was fascinated with the crunch of leaves and grass. Yesterday afternoon coworkers driving HWY 101 on Cotati grade @Railroad had slush coming down about 2pm. I hit a small 5 min. hail flurry in Petaluma on Bodega Ave. @Cleveland 2:40pm and called in a spotter report. Hail was aprx. 1/8" diameter. |

A few high clouds, cool 42 out. Yesterdy after obsrvtn cld in a dense fog spotter report. Visisbilty was 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Then when driving out to Valley Ford on Robalar Rd. as soon as road climbed a bit maybe 100', fog was gone & dazzeling sunshine with emerald green fields. Go down & it was back. Abt 9:30am headed over 2Tomales on back road from VF and when hit hill crest could see all the way to Sonoma Mtn. Green hills and valley fog in valleys including it looked like 101 corridor still fogged in. View from elephant rock down 2Dillion Beach towards mouth of Tomales bay & Point Reyes lighthouse was spectacular. Too bad I couldn't pause & enjoy since driving for work. |

Lots of rain in am of Wednesday, then a break thank goodness. Creeks/Laguna came up and flooded neighborhood yesterday abt 8 am till about 3pm when it could hold no more. Neighbors said it was still driveable if you went slow and didn't hv low slung car. Laguna/Copeland & Hinebaugh creeks were up and over banks onto walkways. What a great day yesterday! Went out to watch sunset at Pt. Reyes lighthouse. Breeze was very little maybe 3-5mph, only needed a sweatshirt without hood up on obeservation deck @beggining of the 300+ steps on most western point of land in California. Already 66 out!!!! Going to be a hot one. Yesterday when we left Doran in Bodega Bay, it was 60 out at 3pm with a steady westward wind of 13mph per my annometer and higher gusts which annometer said wind chill made it 55 out. By 3:30pm we hit Sebastopol and my car temp said it was 85 out. I wanted to turn around and go back to coast! |

49 out, some high clouds overhead. Yesterday while going out Pepper Rd. on way to Tomales fog was down low and swirling in treetops at Mecham. Almost to Bodega Ave. was a dairy pond on right that had clouds of steam raising up in the air since it was cooler. With some fields mowed and brown and others not yet so still green (in June no less) the country side looks like a golden brown and green patchwork quilt. |

Coastal fog hugging the treetops (poplars, redwoods, palms, sycamores in neighborhood when walking dog. So fog was down to 100' or less. When checked NOAA site at 3pm Tues.it said light rain. Did a double check. Saw no evidence, and no reports from Sonoma CoCoRahs observers. It must not have reach the ground. |

50 and overcast with coastal fog. Yesterday about 8am going over Cotati grade fog was down swirling and thick visibilty was down to less than 1/2 mile at top. Since top is only 1/2 mile or so, didn't call in a spotter report. |

Fog in this morning. Yesterday afternoon was already in by 4pm in Petaluma, went up Cotati grade and Cotati,Rohnert Park were still clear.Some fog curling in around Sonoma Mtn. In morning a bit before 8am, fog on Cotati grade was prouducing frizzle (drizzle from fog). It wasn't enough to use wipers. |

Light frizzle falling from fog @6am, 51.So far everyday this week have had to use wipers going to work (7:15am RP, then south 2 Petaluma by 8am.) Fog also has been in very low down, about 40 to 50' and beautifully swirling in trees. My tomatoes don't think it is beautiful, they are just sulking and not doing much. |

Overcast fog again, some frizzle coming down, 52. I am getting so used to the cooler weather, that when walking the dog about 1pm yesterday and temp was 73 we were both warm in the sun. If we get some Indian summer days it will be uncomfortable. |

Light rain as predicated started falling in early hours, down to a mist now. Still overcast, have to leave for Ukiah later today, am glad rain has almost quit since have to drop grandson off south in Petaluma first before heading north and it hasn't rained in a long time. Therefore roads would be very slick from accumalated oils if continued. |
