Windy all day, and got stronger as the day progressed. After dark it was around 70-80mph. It was the first time a wind blew over my compost bin. It was almost consistent (rather than calm breaks in between). It seems to be coming from the NW. It stopped at 1am (or very close to it). Thurs. calm and blue skies. |

Started off as rain, maybe 3pm? Also got windy just before the rain. Snowed overnight. In morning, there was a thin layer (1/2") of icy material on bottom, but it was not hard; more wet, but not slushy. It could be scrapped off with a stiff object. The snow was very light and fluffy. A couple of hours later (11am?) the old layer had settled 1" (was 6.5"). Snow continued to come down steady, light (flakes, not amt. falling) and slow. |

It snowed all day, steady; stopping around dusk (6pm?). 6" of snow fell during the day (measured during the day and at 8pm; at 9am Thur. is was 5" despite 3/4" new snow) At one point I measured 16" accumulation. But the snow is so light(&tall)that it keeps settling. At 8pm last night the "untouched snow" of 16" was down to 11.5 and at 9am this morning it was down to 10", despite 3/4" new snow falling overnight (every time I measured, I "clear" an area, for new snow count) Gauge precipatation at 8pm was .26"//.02 overnight. |

I was out most of day, and when I returned at about 2pm (3pm?) there were clouds sitting ON the top of the mountains, but elsewhere it was pretty blue sky. As the hours passed, it kept getting more cloudy and darker. But it never rained or snowed. |

All old snow melted in morning. It snowed around 3pm. Went out at 6pm and it was very foggy on hwy. 36 going to Lyons (espec. 6 miles outside of Lyons & into town). It started to snow at 10 to 2pm, then stopped about 2:20pm. Started up again at about 3:30pm. I went out at 10pm bec. it looked like it had stopped & wanted to get a measure "for the day", but it was a fine wet snow & pretty heavy (like sleet maybe?). There was 4" of snow & .36 precip.// In morning there was another 2-1/2" of snow & .25 precip. It was not snowy but was overcast. Around 25 degrees. There was a very thin frosty/icy layer on the bottom, but the top snow was all fluffy. No melting. |

Wedn.at 10am it was 1 degree; at noon it was 5 degrees. At midnight it was 8 degrees, and in morning Thurs. 8am it was zero. I dont remember seeing it snow, but there was 1/4" of snow everywhere incl. snow in the gauge Thurs. morning. Dark clouds came in from NW, then I saw snow falling on mtns. in NE. And soon after, at 1:10pm, it fell on my yard; at 1:25 the flakes got bigger. 29 degrees then and for rest of day. It started around noon time, and ended around 5pm (times not exact). I drove betw. Lyons & Estes Pk on hwy 36. You could drive 1 mile & it would change in density and severity, and 1 or 3 miles and it would change again. Some areas nothing coming down; some windows got iced; some wet snow. When I came home at 5pm, all the trees were covered in thick snow, and mountains covered almost to the ground in fog/snow. The snow was very wet and heavy (and very wet on bottom of the pile). Streets were wet & dirt roads mushy. It stopped snowing overnight and no more accumulation. On Wedn. morning, Old snow was 5.5 to 8.5", but mostly in the 5.5 range (in flat undisturbed areas). My driveway was finally melting (the very top by road and bottom by garage melted). The middle was bumpy with old ice & snow on top. |

Around 1am I went outside and there was about 1/4" of snow. It was little pelets. I picked some up and could roll them in my fingers. This morning's snow is more fluffy. When I picked it up, it was the kind that you can see each flake.But=I dont think I've ever seen this before=on my deck, the snow fell thru the slots. I could see the ground. This only happens when it is warm and melting; normally it is one solid piece of snow, even if much less snow. 24 degrees. Still snowing. Overcast. The snow in my empty flower pots was 12" deep, and there is some wind, so it may be blowing the tops off (where I measured). |

Snow started at 11:45 am and continued heavy thru day. When I went out to measure at 4:45pm (4-3/4" and .7") the bottom was slushy and top more fluffy; the wood on the deck (under the snow) felt soaked. Went out again at 8:45pm and 3-1/2" more and .31" precip.& 8" total. This morning 2-1/2" more and .18" precip. with total of 10". Sunny; snow starting to fall off of limbs. |

Woke up to gloomy skies. Rain started 11:30am, turned to slush on the ground about an hour later, then real snow maybe another hr. later? Snowed all day till sunset. At dusk there was only about 1.5"to 2" accumulated SNOW, and it had stopped snowing. I measured at 10:45pm 1.09"precip. in gauge. It was wet & heavy & blocked my satellite tv dish. In morn heavy snow clung to everything, weighing branches down. As I shoveled, the bottom layer was wet slush & heavy; close to 32 degrees. 3" more snow came over night and .36" precip. in gauge. |

Lots of thunder! about 3-4pm. Rain started at about 4pm till about 5:30pm. Shortly after rain started it hailed for a few minutes (5-10Min.?) with about 1/2" size hail about 1/2" apart. These are estimates. I was unable to go out and get the sizes/measurements. I didnt get to go out and get the percipitation the next morning either till about 4 or 5pm and it was a hot day and I'm sure some of it melted...and then I spilled what I had. But I think it was about .05 to .06" |

This morning another .25 accummulated; it was 43 degrees at 9:30am; overcast; drizzling; mist on mountain tops. Around 5pm, I noticed that any tall grass or flowers were bent over with the weight of the water; the drops seem to be sticking even to the gauge sides; I towel dried it this morning to remove them (it fogged up a bit when I did that). It may be due to the yellow pollen from the pines that has fallen (of course the gauge is empty daily & most was washed away). |

Woke up to sunny day but when I went outside at 9:30am, I drove hwy 36 going south to Lyons and entered a cloud. It was foggy all of the way to town; sometimes almost opague. Day was sprinkly and cool there. When I returned about 5pm, it was still overcast in Lyons, but only a few miles out of town, it was clear skies and sunny, incl. home. |
