6/23/2010 7:00 AM T M M M M Last evening was quite unbelieveble. Two pop up thunderstorms merged and circled our immediate area. There was a severe thunderstorm warning and almost continuous thunder and lightning in the near distsnce, first east, southeasr of us and then north to nothwest. At one point the radar looked like an off center donut with a clear hole in the center. We were in the hole completely surrounded by rain. As the storm moved to the west and the sun set,it began to dissipate and we got barely a trace of rain!

The afternoon evening thunderstorm activity is consistently missing this location. A few days ago there was a brief interval of heavy rain at the grocery store 1.5 miles away, but not a drop here.
