TSRA was observed during the late afternoon hours of the 29th, and lingered through the time of observation on the 30th. Possible tornadic storm tracked into my neighborhood, with a large limb downed in my backyard. Am unsure of the extent of the damage/flash flooding in my neighborhood, as I was at work at the time, but flash flooding was extensive and widespread across SHV/Bossier City. Did encounter several residental roads that remained under 1-2 feet of water on the drive home early this morning (545am), with cars stalled and abandoned. Flash flooding may be as extensive as the significant flash flood of May 13-14th, 2008 in SHV/Bossier City. |

October total monthly rainfall was 18.97 inches. |

+TSRA was observed after 5pm on the 7th, and persisted through around 730pm. This was the first rain we've seen in 2 1/2 weeks, and the first significant rain greater than a third of an inch in the last 4 1/2 weeks. Plenty enough to clean the air/surfaces of all the thick pollen which has made me sick, while also greening up my lawn. |

More rain on the west side of town/Caddo parish, but again, no rain at the house. The extremely hot temperatures >100 degrees and the lack of rainfall is burning up my grass. Sections of it are lost now. |

It finally RAINED!!! +TSRA was observed between 1030 and 1125pm on the 28th, with periods of light to moderate rain continuing through at least 130am on the 29th. This was the heaviest rain seen all year, and more than doubled what I have seen this month. It almost surpassed the total seen in the last 2 months! Minor flooding observed as much of this fell in 1 hour, but after it quickly absorbed in/ran off, and one could barely tell it rained after walking on the grass this morning. I was in a sucker hole all evening, with TSRA just to my south, west, and north. This storm built southwest along an outflow boundary from Bossier City. Just could use more before the heat sets back in! |

+TSRA was observed during the mid and late afternoon/early evening hours on the 29th. 3.78 inches has been recorded within a 24hr period going back to late night on the 28th, with finally some pooling of water in the low lying areas. Other grassy surfaces can still take more rain. Hopefully, more rain expected today. |

TS was observed after 530pm on the 13th, but no rainfall was recorded, as it remained to my west/northwest. This was the 6th straight day of 100+ degree temperatures, and the 11th so far in August. Still only 0.21 inches of rain so far for the month...the grass is burning up again with 4" soil temps in the lower 90s. |

I can't believe it...it finally rained!!! A small TSRA developed right over the house at 305pm on the 18th, and continued through 345pm. Much of the heaviest rainfall occurred in a 30 minute time period. I still managed to reach 100+ degrees again though. That now makes it 15 days this month we have seen a high temperature 100 degrees or higher. The official record for August in Shreveport is 20, set in 1881 and 1954. Looks like we will come close/break that record, with near triple digit heat expected through next week. |

Only 0.28 inches of rain for the entire month of September, with only 2 days in the last 2 months where daily rainfall has reached/exceeded two-tenths of an inch. Still exceptionally dry, with no rain on the horizon for the next week. Officially, September will rank as the third driest September on record, with 0.12 inches recorded at the SHV Regional Airport, with yearly departure from normal rainfall exceeding 13 inches below normal. |
