Just started raining at 7am. 72F. Humidity 96%; barometer steady at 29.80. Lots of thunder yesterday afternoon, but no real rain til between 8&830pm. Then at 9pm the sky was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen--a rosy golden glow colored everything-but not directly to the west--there were two distinct patterns of clouds(stratocumulus?)to the west that looked like fingermarks thru whipped cream--the rosy clouds overhead & to the east were more normal cumulus clouds-everything in the house was bathed in this incredible rosy glow--then about 15 mins later the broken-up streaks of clouds to the west were more normal red colored & still beautiful)sunset. |
