Would have had much more damage if leaves had been on tree's as well as rain. First event was only .12 though the rain came in sheets for about 5 minutes then later in the afternoon another about 2 hr period of moderate rain only.

There was no severe weather with this and only occasional thunder...1.47 from this event and then overnight another round of rain with an occasional rumble of thunder .41. As I'm writing this another line of stronger storms is approaching so this total will be going up as there is also a chance of severe weather this afternoon and evening. THen another quick round of Heavy T-Storms moved through. Nothing severe in my area, though areas to the south had Severe TStorm Warnings issued. First round .88, second round .39.

5/13/2010 6:00 AM 1.60 M M M M Storms began firing to the west around 4 PM and after a few near misses the main event hit around midnight, with extremely high wind and very heavy rain, lots of booming thunder. Many areas under Severe Storm Warnings and Flash Flood Warnings, especially a few counties to the north and the KC Metro area. I estimate winds up to at least 50 mph maybe a bit more though no hail. After the initial storm, periods of T-storms and moderate to heavy rain lasting right up to time of observation.

6/9/2010 6:00 AM 1.62 M M M M Two periods of rain, the first was a band of T-Storms that moved through around 8:30 in the morning...estimating about 1/3 of an inch with this as most of the heavier storms split around us. Then about 5 PM extremely heavy T-storms formed and trained over the southern side of the KC Metro, with 4 inch rains common a few miles to the southwest of me. I still got a very heavy T-Storm with estimating 40 mph winds and blinding rain and lots of lightening and thunder but no hail.

Very heavy rain lots of lightening and thunder. Ground is soaked..my yard is a sponge and can't take much more...flash flood watch out for more heavy rain expected.

Very unusual flooding here and in other area's of the KC Metro area. No servere weather just copious amounts of rain! I live next to a lake the water going over the spillway this morning...very rarely see that. Several days now of lots of rain!

Extremely heavy rain and must have lasted into early morning. A welcome relief for sure, from the hot dry weather since the last rain about 10 days ago.
