1/22/2010	8:15 AM	1.00	M	M	M	M	we are still unable to get to our site to accurately check our guage, due to standing water. we have far more water this morning, still holding us up from getting to the guage. it rained from late yesterday afternoon, about 4:15 thru the night. winds were around 30mph and we are expecting more rain today. the ground is saturated and can not absorb what was there, let alone this new rainfall. we will continue to let you know if it rains, and try to estimate the amounts, until we can get to the guage. hip boots are the only thing that may work to get to that part of the field.
2/2/2010	8:15 AM	0.00	0.0	M	M	M	we still cant get to our rain gauage. the area continues to be flooded and we are to have more rain late this afternoon and into the night. can not get to the gauge with boots, unless we use waders, and we dont want anyone to fall so have not used them. we had snow in kill devil hills, nc starting early sat. am and snowed until approximatley 10 am sat. morning. front area of school continues to be flooded, but receding very slowly. ground is saturated. will continue to let you know about our situation here, but we are very, very wet in our area. no ice around us like other areas. no delay in school openings, which is the case with every other school district surrounding us.
2/17/2010	8:15 AM	0.00	0.0	M	M	M	we still can not get to our position for our rain gauge, so we cant get any readings. we have plenty of standing water around the area, but things are beginning to dry up. we have not given up taking the measurement. when we can get to it, we plan on moving the post to another location.
