We continue to have one of the driest (.01" of precipitation since early June) and coolest summers in the more than 30 years I have lived here. To date maximum temperatures have touched 100 twice. Last year there were 24 consecutive days of over 100 during July and August. Low temperatures have generally been in the upper 50's, several degrees below average. Farmers are having a hard time because of the lack of heat. Almost all the crops are late this year.
