High sun angle prevented any accumulation during most of the daylight hours until about 5 pm when temps cooled. Surprised to find 5" had fallen overnight. A real winter wonderland out there this morning with branches sporting a thick layer. Light snow continues to fall this morning. Forecasts last Thursday had predicted 8-12" here from large system (remnants of which continue to spin near Binghamgton) we only ended up with 2". However, residual moisture and waves since the system weakened have ended up depositing close to a foot when all was said and done. |
