BREAK UP OF PRECIPTATION BECAUSE I FILLED OUT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER REPORT LAST NIGHT 3 storms from 930-midnight totalled .40 then another .07 fell up until 8 Am this morning for a grand total of the past 24 hours being 0.47. very hot this morning if it wasnt for the strong breeze it would be unbearable. no rain in the past 24 hours storms got to central ohio last night and then completely disappeared on radar it was pretty neat looked like someone stretched all the colors out and then it got so thin they disappeared POOF! so we didnt get anything out of it.. supposed to storm today off and on..THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS THE AREA. DAMAGING WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE THE
MAIN THREAT FROM SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

no rain in the past 24 hours storms developed around me but nothing in the immediate area. you could see all the storm cloud tops out east about an hour out is youngstown and you could see them all the way where i live in akron. i kept checking radar and the closest one was boardman so they had to have had some HIGH TOPS to them! there was a quick sprinkle of rain on my windshield late saturday evening when i went into springfield township ohio which is down the road from me but nothing in my rain gauge nor my immediate station. |

we had only one severe storm come by yeterday but we had three rounds of thunderstorms. there was a line, then sometime went by and another round and some time went by until late evening when the last line went through and some heavy showers very early this morning before reading the gauge it was still wet out. i filed a significant weather report with the only severe storm we had, we had VERY heavy rain and high winds that were bending the trees over. it rained so hard the ground couldnt absorb it and just bounced off causing ponding of water. my wind gauge wouldnt work properly because of the ways the winds were whipping around the highest reading i got was 37MPH but i know they were stronger then that. we have several small to medium size broken tree branches throughout the entire neighborhood as you drive down the street you can see it all. today we have had hit and miss kind of rain since this morning added .04 on top of the .86 from this mornings reading. the .86 is from 8 AM. i couldnt get on the PC until now but it is accurate for this morning. we have had some rain since. |

.85 inches of rain fell in a 120 minute span from july23rd 1120pm to 140AM july 24. it started out as a storm for 20 minutes and then just a steady heavy rain. i dumped the rain gauge in the middle of the night in case we got more heavy storms but it only rained a few drops in my raingauge (trace) since. it looks like it can storm at any time and its ridiculously humid and tropical outside. i filled out 2 significant weather reports because of the street flooding. |

A1 gorgeous day!! .18 inches of rain fell between 3pm-midnight... few thunderstorms yesterday late afternoon into the evening up till about midnight. the worst of them happened to the northwest and southeast of here. i live where i can see waaaay out to canton edge and the thunderstorms out there were very amazing to watch that cloud to ground lightning if i would have had a fast enough camera that would have gotten some very cool shots~ there were several airtran jets that headed into it, im glad i wasnt on board!! hopefully they all made it to CAK! |

.91 inches rained all saturday evening. i was on a motorcycle ride all day from akron to new philly/dover. about 330/4 pm it sprinkled down there. but that was it , was dry all the way home. then we took a nap from 5-630 during that time it rained .20. we went out to eat and by the time 10 PM rolled around the rest of the .91 came . so between 630-10pm it rained .71 and most of it was around 730 when we got a batch of rain so heavy you couldnt see the houses across the street! |
