Very exciting day yesterday as we had 2 hours of steady snowfall (elevation 1066 ft) in the morning from 8:00-10:00 am. The snow was the large, wet flakes that don't stick but look like wads of lace. The strong winds all of yesterday blew out all the pollution and today we have "forever views", extending past 50 miles. This is the most snow (or at least the most impressive snow!) we've had at our elevation since a year ago. New stratus clouds are coming in over the Coast Range from Florence. At time of obs, 80% CC, mix of cirrus, stratus, alto-cumulostratus and robin's egg blue sky. |

The last week or so is starting to move towards fall, with condensation on the grass each morning, though no. The winds are shifting around from the summer north pattern to the more typical southerly direction. It brings in nice marine air that cools off the hot days (>85º) to lower the 50ºs at night. |
