Hail accumulated in some areas and was reported to be up to golf ball size in parts of Johnstown. 2nd storm hit brief but hard at 7:45pm and brought a peak rainfall rate of 6.62"/hr (first had a peak rate of 6.26"/hr) with .26" in 5 mins and 40+ mph wind gusts. At 6:15pm a "bolt from the blue" hit somewhere in our backyard with thunder cracking directly overhead, even though there were no clouds overhead and the only storm in the area was 10 miles north.
