It is amazing what a few warm days and prior rain has done to turn hills green. It was hardly noticable on trip to Tomales 10-30, 11-3 it was brillant green anywhere there was grazed on land. |

Was induldging in a Sat. afternoon nap when about 2:50pm a huge clap of thunder shook house, rattled windows and scared dog and cats. Kept hearing thunder off and on for about 45 minutes. Ground is so wet from rain and water draining off hills or ditches and is going across rounds so they are getting black ice in a lot of outlaying areas. Usually when we get cold like this has been drier and so no as much frosty fog problems. |

This is from the dense fog. Everything is drippy wet and when you walk under trees it is like it is raining. Yesterday lots of ground fog and temps abt. 47-48 that stayed with me until 2 turns on HWY 1 before Doran regional park turn off. Then bright sunshine! It was 52 at Bodega Head with a cool breeze @10:45am. As you climbed to Head and looked inland the ground fog was clinging and swirling over the inland hills. Warmed up, layers came off before it cooled off with an ocean fogbank coming in at 1pm to buoy line. Some grey whales visible. It was clear as inland when I returned @2:30pm. |

This is from yesterday am, took cylinder out last night since temp @9:30pm was already down to 34. last night on late KTVU 2 news @10:40pm they showed live light snow showers coming down on Twin Peaks in San Francisco. 36 out this am and clear, got pretty cold for some time last night, cats water dish on back porch next to house under awning has 1/16" ice, just beyond awning water filled indentation on top of dog crate 8" across and 5/16" deep frozen solid. Bird bath in front yard 20"across has 1/2 solid ice across. Some icy frost. I will see how covered plants fared tomorrow afternoon before rain comes back on Monday. |

57, high @6pm 73. Spent most of afternoon at very gusty coast. Last day of whale watch @Bodega Head that was canceled due to wind. Temp was 56 &measured wind steady @27mph with gusts to 35mph @12:20pm. Due to wind, ocean very churned up, even foam dirty looking. Went down hill to join group for end of season potluck in wind sheltered warm area. Afterward went back up to head, wind increased w-gusts shaking car harder when parked. At 2:20pm went 3/4 way up head's overlook, wind now steady @33mph temp down to 53 with frequent gusts to 45mph. Hard to stand even with feet braced during gusts which is why didn't go to top. Lots of blowing stinging salt spray. Needed to clean windshield to drive. Then went to Duncan's Landing to watch waves and spray in while in car. Spray heavy enough with some waves 1/3" diamenter drops even though have seen bigger waves during winter storms. Stayed about 3/4hr, wipers wouldn't clean all of salt spray. Used water in dog bowl to pour over windsheild. Hosed off car to get salt off car when got home. |

Overcast with slight drizzle 50 out yesterday only got to 54 with cool brisk wind in afternoon and evening. Most of this fell between 8:30am & 9:15am. This seems silly but here is June and I am still using heater in evenings. Even with it set @68 the heater was coming on every 45m to an hour until bedtime. They are still getting snow in Sierra's and had a tornado watch east of Marysville about 6:30pm. |

Happy Independance Day! Tiny bit cooler only 66 out, yesterdays high 95. An example of micro climates is yesterday I left Santa Rosa Kaiser on Bicentenial at about 1:45pm and it was 102 degrees. Going farther south to Trader Joe's at Santa Rosa Ave and Kawana Springs Rd. for some much needed milk and eggs (quicker than a big grocery store) it dropped to 99. By the time I reached Rohnert Park Expressway it came down to 97. At home in very west Rohnert Park it was 95 with all our trees and open fields. A differnce of 7 degrees in aprx. 10 miles. |

Was feeling a bit better from pnuemonia so after picking up some more new meds took car (instead of normally walking the 1/8) to neighborhood pool so grandson could swim. Clear & calm, 47. Yesterday was a scorcher, 97. It was even hot in Tomales. I didn't have a temp. guage with me but it felt in nieghborhood of mid to high 80's. It was warm walking down the street at 1pm. |

Low swirling fog and only 48. Most of this precip is from the light showers yesterday am, a bit from the drippy wet fog. Showers and clouds were gone by early afternoon with sun out then. Fog was in by 8:30pm. |

Clear & cool 49, with a high of 79. Very nice day, was great sitting outside with my lunch. Fog Was clearing in spots as I drove down to Petaluma to work yesterday between 7:30 & 8:00 am, yet was almost dense in other spots. |

This is from frizzle coming down. Foggy, 57. Yesterdays high only 77, down 20 degrees from Wed. Fog was in by 7:30pm. It started out warming up quickly, with 61 degrees by 8:30, then gears shifted, sea breeze came back & the cooling began. |
