my gauge got knocked down so I dont how much water was in it; but it did rain overnight. It was very windy all night; it started mostly maybe 10pm? At midnight I went out bec. it was so loud and windy, to "tie things down," and it was about 70mph. It lasted all night; lots of constant bursts of wind; and into the morning. Closer to 50mph in morning. |

Rain started about 11am, turned to slush at 11:10am, and then snow about 11:20am. The snow continued (lightly) most of day. Overcast. 1/2 the mountains were covered with clouds. I drove to Boulder 3pm and the whole hwy. 36 from Pinewood Springs to Lyons was 1/2 covered mtns. (which is unusual for the lower altitudes); and then Foothills, hwy. 36 was like driving in a cloud. On the way back, at 6pm, it was still thick with moisture in the air, ALL the way home. Some people used their fog lights in the mtns./road. In morning it was sunny and 26 degrees at 8:30am. |

Cold all day & night; overcast. In morning, trees were covered in snow & remained all day. I went to Lyons & found that all trees/mountains 2 miles outside of Pinewood Springs were "coated" and further SW on hwy. 36 there was no snow. Snowed overnight mostly, and a bit in the morning. Still cloudy. There was a thin layer of ice on the bottom of the gauge & on the handrailing on the deck. |

Well, I dont know what happened, but it did rain briefly (saw semi-wet porch), and then it rained a little harder (wetter porch); but this morning there was nothing in the gauge. It did start to snow lightly at maybe 9:30am? ==The eclipse started at around 11pm. We could see the moon eclipse from here. There were occasional grey or black clouds floating by, but sometimes, it was so clear you saw the stars. I did see the "reddish" color come out when the moon was almost fully covered at about 1pm.(prior to that it was just grey..the shadow) It was not pitch black outside for some reason...when it was a full eclipse. I did hear dogs howling on and off for the approx. 2 hrs. |

It started off as a sunny day, and then the clouds started to roll in a little after 1pm. It started to snow approx. 3:20 pm. It was heavy and wet at first. I tried to drive down hwy. 36 south to Lyons & got about 4 miles, but it was so slippery (I experimented with breaking slowly) that I turned around & went back home. It snowed till sometime around sunset. I measured the snow at 10:30pm and it was 3-3/4" and 10 degrees. Thursday morning it is sunny & not snowing. I shoveled/brushed the snow & it is that light sparkly "fairy dust" kind of snow. |

It got very windy about 4 or 5pm until about 20pm. Busts about 80mph; it was really pounding the house like I've hardly ever heard it before. It calmed down overnight & I could sleep, but it was still windy a bit, espec. noticed it in the morning when I got up and walked around. Sunny day. At night 11:30pm it was 32 degrees. The winds literally blew all the snow (5") off the 100 ft. driveway, and exposed the gravel. I dont think I've seen this before! And, there were no huge snow drifts. It was hard finding some patches that had not been disturbed, drifted, or blown away, in order to measure the snow. But most of the low areas or obstructed (eg, by house) areas were 2" in depth. |

It snowed a bit during the day. It was windy in the late morning and early afternoon. It snowed a bit again in the evening. By Tuesday morning, there was 2" to 2.5" of snow. In some places it was 2-1/2". At 2am it was 5 degrees with just under 1" of snow. At 8:45am it was 3 degrees and it went down to 1 degree at 11 am. It had melted a bit and under the new snow was a thick layer of ice, amost 1" thick, so it was hard to measure the depth of the snow only (I took my measurement in a place I had cleared off the old snow, so it was dry on the bottom). |

Mostly sunny day. snow melting. At 11:30am it was 55 degrees already. There was 3.5" at 1pm and 76 degres in the sun. At 4:30 PM, as the sun set, but still light, it was 3" of snow and 52 degrees. At midnight it was 34 degrees. I measured in the "protected" areas that were not near the house. I was very surprised more didn't melt; maybe because it didn't get as much sun as the deck. Tuesday was sort of warm. At 12:35 noon it was 63 degrees, but did not feel warm enough to sit outside. At 4:30pm it was 52 degrees. Wednesday morning, the wind started to pick up around 4am, and got stronger as the morning progressed. The snow still covers about 60-70% of the ground. It measures 1.5" and 2.5" in some places, but mostly 2". It is a little bit "hollow" as I stuck my ruler in it. The driveway still has some ice. |

There were a few light flakes in the mid-afternoon, no accumulation. Then about 6pm it started to snow (normal), and by 8:30pm, my car outside was covered in about 3/4" of snow. The road from Lyons to Estes and Allenspark were snow covered by 8pm (per some friends of mine in both cities, and my own travels). It snowed all night and continued in the morning, when I got my measurements. I believe the snow was deeper than the 6.3" I have marked, as it looked like the new snow was weighing down the old snow. My Allenspark friend said it was very windy going from Lyons home. I did not experience anything to speak of, myself. |

It snowed all day. At about 9pm I went out and took measurements; it had stopped snowing. It was 7-3/4" total, with 2" of new snow, coming to .15 precipitation. In the early morning it snowed slightly, with less than an inch accumulation, and .01 precipitation. It was melting like crazy all morning (practically from dawn); chunks of snow were falling off the trees etc. It seemed a lot warmer than the last few days when I went out to shovel snow at 11am (no matter what the thermostat said). |

It was mostly a sunny day and around 50-60 degrees. But at 4:30pm it got cloudy and a very cold strong wind blew in with some snowfalkes, and it ended about 5pm. I had big stuff that was next to my garage thrown into the front driveway. I've never had that happen before (like a metal horse watering barrell and a wooden box). This means it would have come from the east. In the afternoon, when the winds started, it dropped 15 degrees in about an hour. It also snowed around 2 or 3pm, and it was so windy the snow was horizontal. No accumulation mainly bec. of the wind. It blocked the view of the mountains (about 1/2 miles away). At 10:30am tiny nuggets of snow fell, pretty heavy.(not hard hail; and bigger and rounder than rice) At about 11:30am it became snowflakes and was 38 degrees. At about noon, the flakes got thicker, and you couldnt see more than maybe 100 feet. At about 12:30 or 1pm it stopped. I looked into the distance and the mountain that is about 2 miles? away to the east did not have any snow on it! but everything in my yard, incl. trees, was covered in snow. At about 2-2:30pm the snow on my deck and railing turned into thick slush, and fog rolled in; it was 32 degrees. At 3:15 still fog, and there were soft icicles hanging off my deck railing, from the melting. At 4:30 pm heavier fog came back; it was 32 degrees. At 11:20 pm it was 26 deg; and at 1:20am it was 22 degrees and felt really cold. Monday morning was sunny, and the snow was a thin, spotty (broken up) layer of ice. I would say that maybe one inch of snow fell, but it turned into slush so quickly, that I didn't have a chance to measure it. |

nice day Saturday. At 11pm, I saw a few sparce raindrops on the deck. At 12:30am I noticed there were "a snowflake" on the deck, about every 1" apart. My daughter was on the road betw. 12 and 12:30am and she said that the snow and bad weather started as she left Lyons on hwy. 36 going NW to Estes Park; and it accumulated on her car hood, and the road got bad. It was an overcast day. It started to rain about 5:45pm, and got heavy about 6pm when it looked almost like snowflakes. At 7:14pm I noticed it had stopped and the deck had a layer of water on it. At 11pm I noticed it was snowing and 2". At 12 midnight there was 1.25" of new snow. At 2am there was another 1". In the morning there was a total of 6.5" of snow. it was wet and heavy and weighing down the tree limbs; and overcast, grey skies, but bright (& not snowing). In my gauge there was an inch of clear ice on the bottom (I took a photo). |

It was overcast grey but bright in the morning. I had cleaned off the snow from my deck and at 11:30 am I saw stam rising from my deck where it was wet. Shortly thereafter it turned to fog and I couldnt see more than about 100 ft. (I usually can see for about 2 miles). It disappeared within the hour, and some sun came out. Frequently it was dropping in big wet clumps off the tree limbs causing very loud thuds all day long. Friday morning, the ground is still covered with snow. The places I shoveled are damp and no snow. The depth is from 2 to 5 inches. |

You could just about SEE the snow melting all day. Every time I looked outside it was visible more melted. By the end of the day almost all had melted to the ground, which was soaking wet. Snow is all melted except where it was stacked by my snow shovel ! Some wind. When I was on my way to Estes about 1:30pm and returning at about 6pm, there were sprinkles of rain on my windshield (hwy 36). In Estes the mountains were shrouded in misty clouds and I didnt see the Natl. Park mtns. at all. As I walked around, I didnt feel any rain, nor on the sidewalks. At home the ground was very wet from the melted snow, but no sprinkles. |

It rained all day, but got really heavy about noon time. It was almost like hail at one point, (but not), and it was literally raining slush for about an hour (I went outside and there was slush on my umbrella). In the afternoon, the deck floor and railing had slush on it for several hours, despite it raining. I went out at midnight and it was still slushy and slippery (icy). Around noon to 1pm there was quite a bit of loud thunder. There was deep, dirty, quick streams of water running across my driveway and in the fields next to my home. It went over the normal small ditch paths and flooded the field about 1-2 inches. (it's a small field, as most of the land is sloped, and runs down hill; this is a flater piece about 50 x 50 feet.) It was overcast, and the mountains were covered by mist most of the day. It was really pouring out of the gutters. This morning it was not raining. It was 45 degrees at 11:45 am Wedn. I went to bed after that & put in ear plugs because there was a distant rumbling thunder, not too loud, but irritating. This morning the deck was wet, but not soaked. It rained late in afternoon. It stopped about 6:30pm and I went out and collected rain: .09" At 8:15pm it was 58 degrees. At around 10pm, there was lots of thunder and lighting. At 1am it was 52 degrees. I emptied the gauge again=.12" During the night, there was rain. I emptied the gauge out in the morning=.41" |

It was overcast all day, and mostly "still." At noon it was 92 deg.; at 2pm it was 82 deg.; at 2pm it was 70; at 2:30pm(after a rain) it was 59 degr. and it stayed between 59 and 62 the rest of the evening. = At 2:15pm it got dark in the west sky and thunder and high winds/gusts. It rained at 2:20pm pretty hard. My little "spring run off stream" was running with water; and my garage got slightly flooded because of the hard rain on the door. When it stopped at 2:32pm, I measured the precip. in the gauge, it was 0.23. = At 3:25pm there was lots of thunder and overcast again, and some brief rain. The temp dropped; it cooled off; it was 63 degrees. At 6:30pm, there was rolling thunder for quite a while and some brief rain and wind, but not much (.04).= At 10pm it was still 59 degrees; at 2:15am it was 53 deg.; and at 8:30am it was 73 deg. and breezy. No more rain overnight. |

Monday it was 87 deg. at 9:15 am. And, sunny & 96 degr. at 11:20am. At 12:20noon it was 92 in the shade and 99 in the sun (& 78 inside the house, with no fan on). At 1:10pm, it was 94 in shade and 102 in sun. At 4:45pm it got breezy and 1/2 the sky was overcast and temp. dropped to 87 deg. At 5:35pm it got windier and most of the sky was now overcast, but still a bit bright out, and dropped to 78 degrees. At 11pm it was 74 degrees. |

Wedn. at 1:10pm, thunder and dark clouds rolling in. Then thunder fades. At 3:10pm approx. heavy rain, then 2 minutes of hail of 1/2" size, and spread apart maybe 1/4" But accumulated in corners. It came at a hard angle from the east, which was unusual. Rain came in my sliding glass screen door, which has a very big overhang (roof), so it must have been at least 30 degree angel. I noticed it bec. the upper deck was dripping rain down to the lower deck, which is very unusual. Then hail stopped and all melted quickly, and more heavy rain. Some thunder. By 3:23 it was all done. At 4:22pm more heavy rain and thunder. Both times there was a stream of fast moving water in the small spring I have on my property in spring. All cleared up by 4:45 pm. I looked at the gauge which showed .40". In morning there was .01 more. Sunny. |

Started out in afternoon with two short "trace" of rain. At 2:56pm heavy rain, and it slowed then got heavy, then slowed. At 6pm it started up again heavy, then slowed again, and eventually stopped. At 6:48pm it rained heavy again, and slowed down about 7:05pm. and stopped approx.8pm. It bent some small branches and got even protected areas on my deck very wet, and left riverlets in my dirt walkway. It overflowed the gauge into the cylinder; there was 1.20" in it. It cooled down a lot, and there were misty clouds rising from the mountain valleys near me at the end of the day (daylight). A little more rain overnight. |

Rain at 2:55pm; partial cloudy, mainly toward NW. Hail at 3:02pm to 3:08 along with rain; melted within 1 minute after stopping; from 1/16" to 1/2" in size. spaced about 2" apart. Rain continued after hail stopped. At 3:13pm it was sunny; the dark clouds were partially obscuring the mountains to the east, and still raining here. Thunder the whole time here and when in the east. Stopped 3:25pm. Measured: .49". At 5:15pm more rain and thunder; measured .08". No more overnight. Cooled down quite a bit. |

At 4pm there was thunder, and then at 5pm it rained. It stoped, and a clear evening. Just before 10pm I heard a big boom. Then I soon heard thunder & saw lighting, which continued thru till about 1am. It rained at 10pm hard, and continued till 10:40pm.
