3/10/2011 8:00 AM 1.65 M M M M What a way to start this years storm season. Yesterday's storms showed the first lightning of the year for me and possibly the first thunder. It definitely showed the first significant rain of the year for our area.
4/5/2011 8:00 AM 0.82 M M M M Somewhere around 5:00 a.m. strong winds, thunder and lightening rolled into the area. the winds were much stronger than i realized once the sun came up. lots of big limbs were down.

9/21/2011 8:00 AM 1.48 M M M M I received 1.48" of rain yesterday at home according to the rain gauge. But, i was working in a town nearby that received 4-6" of rain. Amazing! Our area was under a tornado warning, which never happens. I work at a newspaper and all the weather guys from all the jacksonville, fl. TV channels were calling our office wanting an update on the weather conditions.........it was cool.......i got mike bureshes number on my desk............lolk
