At 6:30 bar was 28.97 at 7:00 it is 29.02. Rain has moved off to the east. I think chngeable is the word for weather this am. Earlier there was a ring around the moon - 5 minutes later it was gone. 4.5" measured on snowboard at 8:00 pm and .28" melted. Then the snowplow man came and the snowboard is now under a 3 foot pile of snow. Snow from 10:00 am until about 8:00 pm when it turned misty. Surfaces have a glazing of ice and there was .03" of ice in the guage from after 8:00. Measured lots of areas in the yard. One was about 8" the rest were between 9 and 13 inches. Before it began to snow on 21st I measured total depth and it was 6" in most places that plus the additional 4.5" at least gives me the 10.5 I am going with for total snowfall.

I measured my core incorrectly on 12/23. Apparently I did not get through the bottem layer of ice. I said the core was 6" actually it is between 9 and 10 inches. There are at least 3 layers of icy snow with fluff between. At 7:00 snow was barely coming down, by the time I replaced the guage at 7:35 it was coming down a little heavier. |

Late reporting due to no internet. The new snowfall & total on ground seem to be incorrect. However, I measured the guage & snowboard at 1:00 pm and again at 7:00 am to arrive at the totals. The total was as of 7:00 am. Around 1:00 pm the snow briefly turned to rain and I assume melted some of the snow which had fallen earlier to account for the difference.
Temp 25,5, bar 29.84, hum 77%, dp 19.2 no wind, overcast. In addition, steady wind of 10+ from the south drifted all snowfall, most places register 7 - 8" or less than 1". Temp at 7:00 was 25.8 at 8:30 it is 24. |

I caught about 4" of horizontal snow in the guage. I have no idea how much snow we got. There was about 4" on the snowboard which is in a direct line across a field and driveway to the north. Part of the drive has no snow at all. About 2 feet from the snowboard is a 3+foot drift. On the road in front of the house there was 10-12 inches of snow but I have no idea when the road might have been plowed. Now, why are all of these people caught on raods when the storm was forcast for a week. Our snow started at the 12:00 time predicted. Temp 12.9, bar 30.16, hum 65%, overcast, but not snowing at 7:00. New snowfall is a guess between 0 and 3 feet. |

Might be my highest cocorahs report for rain. Reported 1.71 from 7:00 - 8:00 am. An additional .54 fell from 8-about 9. Then at 10:00 pm lightning began far to the west. At 11:45pm wind started and at 11:50 the rain came. By 12:20 the worst of that cell had moved on. However, thunder, lightning and rain continued off an on and still rumbling. LIghtning lit up the entire sky at times. Quite a show and the rain continues. |

Boy, was there ever a storm to the north of us. Almost continuous lghtning from around 9:00 to after 10:30. Our rain began after 10:30, but I don't know when we might have accumulated the almost inch recorded. |

We must have been the begining of the storms that moved through last night. The rain came straight down for about 3 minutes, but lots of lightning to the East. Just looking out during that time, I would not have realized it was raining. |

Nothing in the guage, but I was outside at 6:30 am and for awhile after, a light mist was falling. Heavy dark clouds at 6:00 am have moved east and now have a lighter grey overcast with cear sky to the south. |

Teno 67.1, bar 29.74, hum 94%, dp 65.2, wind under 5mph. 1.08" fell between 1:45 and 2:30. Then, with the sun still shining, a dark cloud would pop up, dump about a tenth of an inch and move on. Sometimes with thunder, sometimes not. Probably much of rain just ran off and did not soak into the ground because the gound was really hard and rain came down hard also. |

The sky fell - dense fog. Visibility less than 500 feet. If every foggy day in August = snow in winter, this will be a snowstorm. Temp 67.6, bar 29.91, hum 87%, dp 63.6, no wind. Saw one meteor streak very close (in astronomical measure. It wasn't just a line in the sky, this came very close, I could see the burning front as it flew by. |
