It started to snow yesterday at 8 am. Total snow on ground at 6 am is 14". So the total snow fall is 13" from 6 am Feb 1 thru 6 am Feb 2. WE measurement taken from the 10" stainless steel container is 1". The event went as follows: .3" snow by noon, 2" more snow by 1 pm. 1" more by 2 pm. total of 5.2" snow core by 3 pm, 8" snow core by 6 pm 11 inch snow core by midnight. Temp is 13 degrees and very windy. Difficult to measure new snow fall because of drifting and strong gusty wind. Can't tell if it has stopped snowing or not, could just be swirling snow. When it gets light will have a better feel. |
