This was the first 24 hr rainfall >1" in 2.5 months, with the 24 hr rainfall also more than what has fallen during the same time period. All has soaked in, with little/if any standing water. Penny to quarter sized hail fell with a severe thunderstorm at 1005 pm on the 1st, and lasted 5 minutes. No damage. Please see hail report.

A tornado touched down several miles (by the way the crow flies) to the south and southeast of my home. Small limbs were downed in my backyard, and minor flooding was evident based on the debris left behind. This was the most rainfall I have had (1 day rainfall) since November 1st, and you still can hardly tell it had rained. It was soaked in and very welcome. The grass is green again!

This developed along a southward moving outflow boundary, which produced 40-45 mph winds across Shreveport. This was the first measureable rainfall I have had in 15+ days, and only the 3rd time since 4/27 that I have had at least 0.20 inches of rain or more in one day.

About 1/2 mile from my home, a very large branch was broken off a pine tree, with other debris noted in the roadways up to a few miles from my home. Appears that these areas were under the core of the storm, given much more standing water after the storm, whereas I was not.

Small limbs were blown down, with 3 street light panels ripped off the power poles on the road adjacent to my street. -RA at observation. This was the first rainfall I have seen in 27 days, and this total was more than what I have recorded in the last 9 weeks. In fact, the total was the 2nd most 24 hr total I have recorded this year, behind 4/23. Very welcome...although you can't even tell it even rained. No standing water left anywhere.
