Icy again this morning.Freezing rain yesterday that started around 7:05 with just a light mist but turned to big drops after awhile. Stopped around 12:30 P.M. We didn't get the freezing rain that Hysham got thankfully but we did get snow off & on all day & night with winds at times. At 7:00 A.M it is 11 mph with 10 mph wind. As I am writing this @ 7:49 A.M the wind has picked up to 13. mph at times with it really snowing.Glad I read my readings on time. I tried to get a old/new but can't with it being so frozen with ice. No way to scrap the snow away & more snow was falling into the tube as I attempted to pull it out without losing any. Just didn't work out. Please have a safe day with all this ice & snow. |

Some still on our lane & feedlot to our home/feedlot but went down about a foot yesterday. I feel the Yellowstone river looks good in our area so far but don't know what's going elsewhere on it.

I noticed around midnight that the snow covered the ground. As I was putting my gauge outside again I observed the snow stopping but still snowing to the south which is about 1.5 miles from us. Had strong gusty winds off and on. Possible microbursts? Broke 4-6" in diameter branches off of trees. Blew the branches 50ft across the yard and almost thru the house window. Flipped over a calf shelter sized approx 8ft wide 5 ft high and 16 ft long. Also ripped off tin off a trailer house roof. That was about a 20 ft long piece. By the way... I am Laurie's daughter. She just had major surgery and have been taking care of her reports for about a week and a half. I am also a trained CoCoRahs observer for treasure county so both of ours will be and has been late daily for awhile. Any questions you can ask me for details. |
