Heavy rain forecast for today, and N/S frontal boundry on radar is coming on fast. We are under a high wind warning and a flood watch. At 9:00AM winds have really picked up and are blowing very strong.

The weather system moving in is strange in that it is bringing in heavy rain from off shore, rotating in from East to West, the opposite of our normal weather pattern. Radar shows a large rain sheild with heavy rains bearing in on our area. We are forecast to receive between 3/4 and 1" today and another 1/4" tonight.

I believe there was sleet mixed in with this storm overnight based upon obs of the surface of my frozen bird bath dish. Obs taken at this hour due to Temp just reaching 31/32*F. Not raining at this time however another batch shown coming on radar.
