At 8:00pm we had exactly 1" with only a few tiny flakes left in the sky. At 10pm we noticed the moon was shining on the snow. However, at obsv time, I couldn't get a decent core because the bottom layer on my snowboard was a very thin layer of bumpy ice. Thin enough that it may not have added anything appreciable.

One family member said they thought they heard hail against the window in the middle of the night, but we have no evidence of it. Thunder, lightning, heavy rain came through about 5am, but didn't really wake up until the sirens went off at 5:45am. Drainage creek was full at that time. Moderate rain & some thunder at obsv time.
