Part of this is due to the amount of Ice found beneath the snow field I’ve been using. That snow field is now depleted. I’ve moved to another I’ve been saving that has remained behind a rock wall down by the stream. It’s completely untouched and sets between a fence to the north and the wall to the south, basically, hardly touched by sun at all. Frankly, it’s probably the most accurate snow field I’m going to find. I plan on using this one only for the Monday data for as long as it will last. The inches and total coring I entered today come from the new snow field. There is only a light crusting of ice on the grass below it. Clearly, very little melting has taken place. Current snow storm- began at 7:12 pm last night with light flurries. 9:21 pm- .5 inches 11:01 pm- 1.25 inches 11: 17pm (right before bed)-1.5 inches 7:00 am- 4 inches 9:48am-4.25 inches Currently 10:26am- 4.5 inches, 26° F visibility is two miles, flurries descending with half inch flakes, and it has more water in it. Much of the night’s snowfall was dry powder. That changed around 9:00 am.

Total inches at this time measure at 0.5 inches. by mid afternoon it's all gone.
