Burn Ban and still no rain. The count judge, city mayor, fire dept and several other organizations will be meeting to decide if the fireworks stands should be closed. Sounds like a no brainer. |

At this point all of arkansas except approximately 5 counties is under a burn ban. In pope county they have banned the use of all fireworks. Unforunately they can not ban the sale of them. No rain in the forcast at all. Producers here are selling off entire herds of cattle because they can't feed them. I talked to one producer yesterday and he is not only having trouble feeding them but now his ponds are going dry. He has two herds at different locations. The location on one herd has no water(ponds are dried up)so he sold them off last weekend. I am actually in a position where I deal daily with swine, poultry, dairy and cattle producers. I have been keeping up with this closely since this drought started. |

At this point we have had no rain since the first of april. Whole herds of cattle are being sole, either because they can not feed them or have run out of water for them. Normally our climate has heat and humidity. At this point things are so dry we don't have any humidity. Our climate is more like what you would experience in Arizona.Pray for rain. |

Absolutely no rain. Very severe situation here. Lost over 500 acreas tuesday due to fire break out. We are to the point that fires will be breaking out every where. |

This rain storm accumulated the second round of rain for July 10th. My theory is that the burn ban will remain in effect. The grass and folige are still dead. We got a great rain but probably not enough to saturate the soil completely. |

There is still no rain in sight here. Pope County Arkansas and surounding counties are updated to extreme drought conditions. Pope County has already had one fire that took out over 500 acres. Yesterday Yell County had fire that evacuated one small town and surrounding areas. The loss was 1400 acres. |

At this time still no rain. The drought conditions continue to worsen. The cattle producers have already past thier limit. Whole herds continue to be sold off. As these folks run out of food for thier herds ie overgrazed, already feeding this winters hay, with no time table as to even getting a cutting of hay this year. Now we watch as ponds go dry leaving these producers with no food and no water. This is one aspect on how this drought affects all on the local level. |

This storm began at approximately 7:00 PM/9/06/2012. It inclided thunder and lighten, strong winds(Caused some major damage in our area) golfball size hail and total down pour. After the initail storm it rained off and on until the afternoon of 9/7/2012. Grand total for this event 2.5 inches of rain. We earned this rain though, power out 6 hours, trees pull up and laying every where or just snapped or twisted into. House and property damage is sizeable, roads were blocked from downed trees. Praise God we got rain and no one was hurt just inconvienced. |
