Overcast but bright in morning; mix of rain and snow, but very light; deck was wet. At 12:30pm the snow became heavy. It started to accumulate about 30 minutes later, and stopped mid-afternoon. It was maybe 1/2" of snow; I didnt measure it because I thought there would be more. By evening there was about 1/2" to an inch on the ground and the deck was wet. No snow anywhere Sunday morning, not even on my mountains. |

At 6pm there was .02" precip. in gauge. At 9pm there was 1" of snow and 34 degrees, no more precip. At 11:10 pm there was 4" snow. At 7am there was 10"; and in some places up to 14". The gauge was overflowing with snow. It was 28 degrees. and .84 in gauge. For a total of .86. On Sunday=First there were sprinkles, then snow stared about 4pm; and it got heavier at 6pm ("real snow").

It snowed Sunday afternoon. This morning the accummulation was 2.5 to 3". It was 26 degrees mid-day, dropping to 18 at sunset, and at 11:15 pm, it was 10 degrees. At 9am it was 3 degrees. At 10;30am it was 4 degrees. It is sunny,blue skies and no wind. The snow is so light that you can blow it off the railing with your mouth. But there is still a layer of ice under most of it. |

I looked outside at 11 am and it was snowing lightly, and there was just enough accumulation to cover the deck. It snowed all day, but only accumulated about 1". At 2:15 am Tues. it was 15 degrees; at 10:30 am it was 28 degrees. |

Wedn. it was 25 degrees at 8:10pm, and 2 3/4 " snow had fallen. It started about 5pm. Overnight it was still 22 degrees at 12:30am (and 5 1/2" of snow) and in the morning, at 8:45am, still 19 degrees (& would remain that all day). I measured around the property and it was betw. 10 and 12 inches, but most of it was 11" deep. The gauge was full to the top, so a tiny bit may have fallen or blown out. (There was still some snow on the ground from the previous snowfall; it was somewhat hardened, and had some ice at the bottom in some places, and puddles that were frozen were "here and there") |

It was a breezy, sunny day. It got stronger winds after dark, and especially around 11pm. It was strong winds for most of night and into the morning. At 9am today, Wednesday, it was 39 degrees; and it got to about 44 degrees. It was surprising that little snow melted. It is still icy at the bottom, and crunchy at the top layer. It was mostly 6" to 7.5". There was a light snowfall and thin layer of snow on the walkway in the late afternoon, but in the morning, my gauge was empty. |

Very windy afternoon, on and off. Usually the gusts stay pretty steady here, but it seemed to come and go today with longer than usual periods in between. It reached 49 degrees and stayed there for a few hours.(Still 48 at 3:30pm before dusk). It started off gloomy, but sun broke out later in day. It was breezy in the afternoon. At 3:15pm Tues. it was 52 degrees. The heat is hanging on into the dusk hours, with it being close to 40 each night. This morning at 10am, it is 45 degrees. There is 4" left of snow. Very strong gusts of wind all day, like around 40mph. It got much stronger at night, and in particular around midnight, and lasted through the night. It was closer to 70 to 90 mph gusts. There was a long waiting period in between them. Usually when we get wind, the gusts come pretty frequently, so you hardly have a down time, but today and yesterday there were longer periods in between, maybe 1/2 hr. (?) In the morning it was still windy, but now steady wind, fluctuating in speed. It is back down to about 40 to 60mph winds Thursday morning. The 30 ft. pine trees are really getting whipped around. It's coming from all directions, it seems, by the things being blown around. Again, this is unusal; we usually experience most gusts of wind than steady wind. == Sunny both days. Wednesday it was 42 degrees at 8:30am. At midnight it was 38 degrees. On Thursday at 8:30am it is 42 degrees. == The snow was flying in clouds at the beginning of Wednesday, but by the end of the day, only the hard snow was left. On my deck, some of it is ice and 2/3 is snow about 1/2 inch thick. Even at 42 degrees, and being in the sun, the ice is hard. |

But I left about 3pm and it was snow covered here but once I got to "town" (Lyons and Longmont) there was no snow. When I got home after dark, the side streets were snowy and slippery. It first rained at night, maybe 10-11pm, and then snowed some time after midnight. There was a layer of ice and then snow on top, so it only measured 1" of snow. About 4-5pm the melted snow turned to ice, and when I walked on the wooden deck it crackled, as I took each step, and not just where I could SEE ice, but any where on the deck. Rain in mid-afternoon, turning to snow overnight. Woke up to just under 1" of wet snow. In the gauge, there was .56 of water liquid, and a layer of snow sitting on top of the gauge funnel. When I melted that it was .19 of water. Combining the two made for .75 total. When I went out Monday morning at about 9:30 am it was a very fine rain--lots of it, but tiny droplets. By 9:55 it had turned to snow. This measurement did not include the new snow fall. It was 38 degrees at 9;15 am. |

Then at about 8 or 9pm it got dark again and lots of loud thunder and lighting, but again no rain. In morning, there appeared to be no rain at 7am but when I went out at 8:30 a.m. the decks were quite wet. Not raining at 8:30am. but grey skies. |

Day was sunny. It started to rain heavy at about 3;35pm till about 3:45 pm. About 3:40 it hailed small balls. It seemed to all accumulate in the SE part of my deck (it was only briefly all over the deck, and that melted, but a pile accumulated in the one corner). It hit my garage door hard and water went under the bottom lip, that I had to mop up. Sun came out between the clouds after that. When the eclipse happened, the sun did come out, but set behind the mountains, so you couldnt see the best of it. I emptied the gauge out after the rain, and overnight there was an addtl. .01+ in the gauge. |

The thermostate read around 100 all day; hot even in the morning. Yesterday it was tolerable, but after two days of heat Tuesday was worst. At approximately 11pm we smelled strong smoke and went outside. You could see thick smoke and lots of pieces of ash, from tiny to snowflake size. It was also windy. I called authorities and they said the Park fire was blowing smoke in our direction. (We didn't see any fires) This morning it was only 55 degrees at 8:40 a.m. The sky was white/grey overcast. Couldn't tell if it was rain clouds or smoke |

It is around 100 during the day, and 95 still at 8;30pm for 3 days now. For the first time, we had stormy skies at dusk, but it never rained. Later, around 11pm maybe, there were dark clouds on the eastern horizon, toward Ft. Collins/Greeley, and lots of lighting. It was very hot and hard to sleep, but at about 2am, it got noticeably cold. It's still cool in the mornings at 8 a.m.. Feels like maybe 75; but quickly rises to 85 degrees by 8:30am. |

Very heavy rain late in the day, about 4pm/5pm, which made riverlets on my property, driveway and public street, and went under my garage door. I measured it at .99 when it seemed to stop,and reported it under "significant weather". Overnight there was an addtl. .51 with plenty of lighting and thunder in the evening (but not overnight, midnight and on). Some heavy gusts of wind on and off. My daughter was here during the day and she said in the morning the skies were so thick with moisture/fog that she couldnt see the mountains, just a mile away, and she also said that when the heavy rain started at about 4pm that she swears there was small hail first...but didn't go outside and look at it. |

At 2:50pm heavy rain started, and within minutes heavy hail started, from 3/8" to 1/2" in size; almost 1/2 were in the 1/2" range. I did put a hail pad out. It stopped hailing about 3:05pm, but still rained for another approx. 15 minutes. There was 1/4" to 2" empty space between the hail pieces, which were solid white and hard. It accumulated in the corners about 2" deep, and covered about 80-90% of the lawn with white hail. I reported this on the "hail report" right after it happened. There were riverlets of water rushing down my property and accumulating in puddles and streems from 2 to 4or 5" deep. It washed away some surface dirt and pine needles. |
