There was slightly more snow to Lindon with ground white and then for a stretch between Anton and Akron, and also north of Akron nearby the Logan County line. At the Logan County line there was up to an inch on the ground and pavement.

Strong wind along with the heavy rain. Also flash flooding was noted in the Last Chance area of the fire ravaged ground. Rain here began some after 8 p.m. and the heaviest came in about 30 minutes. Definitely a 'toad strangler'; however, no frogs were heard last night. Love the cool weather this morning!

9/28/2012 8:00 AM 0.23 M M M M Personally I felt there was more rain here than that as there was water standing in the yard and it also ran as it came very hard and quickly. I did not detect any hail which some reported and I did not note if there was wind to cause some of the moisture to miss the gauge which is in a very wide open spot and not sheltered by buildings or trees. North of Lindon eight miles and back to the west about two miles over two inches of rain and little hail was received and of course had creeks running.
