The snow measurement comes from the bottem of the hill next to a hillside of trees. At the bottem, on mowed grass and under the trees is a layer of snow. Where I measured, it was 1 inch deep and really not snow, but white ice. This probably will not amount to much runoff even if the creek between the two hills goes directly to the Mississippi R. Edited 2/14 I changed the 1"inch on the ground to T. Snow on the ground covers about 5% of viewing area. Where there is snow it is about 1" deep. |
