1/21/2012 7:00 AM 0.39 M M M M Light rain began about 8:30 pm with much heavier rain around 11:30 pm to about 0:30 am. Few light showers after that time with no showers noted after about 5:30 am.
2/7/2012 7:00 AM 0.01 M M M M Rain/Snow showers began about 5:45 am - stopped about 8:45 am - very little snow on ground - very light dusting in a few areas due to wind being pretty strong.
2/13/2012 7:00 AM 0.11 M M M M Rainshower began at 0134 hrs and lasted about 1 hr. Had 1 or 2 light showers during afternoon around 1420 and 1745 hrs. Don't know about any other morning showers - didn't notice any to be frank. Saw no snow at all.
2/14/2012 7:00 AM 0.12 2.5 0.12 2.5 M Snowshower began at 0153 hrs. Wind was blowing so hard from WNW it was moving sideways and drifting against objects 180 out from wind direction. Guage didn't collect all that fell due to movement of snow and wind speed blowing it so hard. Roof had may 1/4 inch is all while other areas had 2 - 2 1/2 inches easily with little drift areas having about 5 inches or more built up on their surfaces. After about an hour or so the wind died down for a while then picked back up again. Seems like showers ended about 0530 hrs or a little earlier.
2/20/2012 7:00 AM T 0.0 M M M Absolutely nothing seen since last report - regardless of forecasted events with exception of isolated very very light snow shower sometime in the early morning hours before 7:00 am. Could barely tell anything had happened with a tiny speckle of what looked like a tiny amount of snow grains in a couple of potted outdoor plants.
3/17/2012 7:00 AM 0.02 M M M M Work night of 16th - returned to Fallon noting roads and puddles on west end of town. My home had light residual moisture from earlier RW-. Noted upon arrival home at 0305 hrs light RW- began and lasted for about 2 hrs off and on with another shower somewhere around 0545 hrs or so. No biggy on any of this precip.
3/18/2012 7:00 AM 0.27 0.9 M 1.0 M Had light rain start about 1545 hrs, got heavier about 1640 hrs. Then mixed with R-S- about 1715 hrs becoming all snow at 1730. Pretty heavy snow began about 1745 and lasted about 45 minutes with close to 1 inch sticking good on everything but the roads. The roads showed signs of build up on the shoulders/sidewalks by 1830 hrs and were getting slushy at that time on the main roadway. Then the snow slowed down considerably for the most part.
3/19/2012 7:00 AM T M M M M Few isolated SW- during early afternoon till about 1600 hrs.
3/22/2012 7:00 AM T M M M M Driving home after work from Fernley to Fallon - had RW on west end of town that just spit on windshield then had brief real shower in center of town - roads wet, and small puddles began. Got home and nothing - then at 9:12 pm had brief light RW- that lasted for about 5 minutes. Wow - what a surprise - checked the NFL station and they showed nothing - only a ceiling at 100 BKN. Truth is what it was and no forecast even close for this for the day.
3/26/2012 7:00 AM 0.09 M M M M Light RW- around 1920 hrs with few showers on and off. Better RW- around 2132 and then much better RW- around 2342 hrs.
4/12/2012 7:00 AM 0.24 M M M M No snow that I saw but did have rain - nothing like what the base recorded though. Times were mainly in the morning then isolated after noon.
4/15/2012 7:00 AM 0.22 M M M M Lots of showers through 0700 to about 1940 hrs or so. Had small hail twice about the size of half a pencil eraser - at around 1230 and again at about 1640 hrs.
4/23/2012 7:00 AM 0.05 M M M M T at 1715, TRW- at 1742 with slightly heavier shower from 1817 to 1830. T continued with one large cell from 1715 to 1854 when it moved off to the north. One more TRW- around 2137 lasting about 5 minutes then T moved to north again.
4/24/2012 7:00 AM T M M M M Had a couple light showers start about 1415 hrs - Thunder began about 1430 hrs and moved off to north ending about 20 minutes later.
