9/9/2013 9/16/2013 6:35 AM 8 18.71 M M The following was the information that I received from the observer, Steve Smith, when i asked about this report. Matt 1. I've got a Davis Vantage Vue weather station (http://www.vantagevue.com/products/product.asp?pnum=06250). It has a self-tipping spoon collector, so it doesn't "hold" the rain. It does store the measurements, and they are stored on the unit. Happy to show you those, but they only hold for 25 days. Thus, if you need to see the measurements, you'll need to come by soon. Here's what I've got for rainfall for that week. Realize these go from midnight to midnight, not 7 am to 7 am: 9 Sep: 1.17" 10 Sep: 0.42" 11 Sep: 7.19" 12 Sep: 6.99" 13 Sep: 0.48" 14 Sep: 0.32" 15 Sep: 2.02" 16 Sep: 0.12" The rain from [the midnight transition from 8 Sep to 9 Sep] through [midnight transition from 15 Sep to 16 Sep] was 18.59". The rain on 9 Sep started after 7 am, and the rain on Monday 16 Sep was before 7 am. That's where the 18.71" came from for 7 am 9 Sep through 7 am 16 Sep. 2. There are no structures near by. I've got it mounted on the apex of the roof of the house. It's a three story house, and there are no trees near by. Let us know if you need to see the measurements and the weather station set up on the house. BTW max rain rate I got during the storm was 4" per hour.
