4/8/2013 8:30 AM 0.04 M M M M A little blip of surprise convection hit us early yesterday afternoon. The radar indicated that this cell was very small and short-lived.
4/9/2013 8:30 AM 0.04 M M M M It's looking like another BIG bust. We got this much precipitation out of one dinky isolated cumulus cloud on Sunday afternoon!

4/17/2013 7:00 AM 0.36 M M M M This brings our storm total to 1.56", which is great! I wouldn't complain if the next big one was rain though.
4/18/2013 9:00 AM 0.29 M M M M This brings the storm total to 1.85", which is excellent!
4/22/2013 8:30 AM 0.02 M M M M a dash of moisture over night
5/1/2013 8:15 AM 1.34 M M M M This is a very impressive one-day total! It's too bad the last gauge reading here got botched. It would be really nice to know the monthly total, but our last round of moisture was probably about a half an inch.
5/2/2013 7:00 AM 0.30 M M M M (edit: daily precip initially recorded as 3.00". changed to NA due to decimal error suspicion. this could be a pre-melted snowfall total reported as precip as well. P.G.)

5/30/2013 8:30 AM 0.79 M M M M This soaking was a bit of a surprise. NWS had us at a 30% chance of rain with their weather graph estimating two hundredths of an inch the night before. The qpf was giving us maybe a tenth of an inch, but surprise! Over three quarters of an inch in the gauge to put us back on par with precipitation normals for May.
6/5/2013 8:30 AM 0.02 M M M M I had hoped for more.

7/15/2013 8:30 AM 0.08 M M M M This event was forecast to be quite a bit more, but it looks like the brunt of things missed us South and West. Well... you win some, you lose some.
7/19/2013 8:00 AM 0.26 M M M M Given the time of year, this rain was nice and gentle.
7/25/2013 7:35 AM 0.03 M M M M We had a brief AM shower. Wow, looking at our monthly totals we could really use a big soaker this week. We are quite a ways behind for July despite a number of small totals.
7/26/2013 8:40 AM 0.07 M M M M This came along with a nice cool-down. I don't think we reached 80 degrees yesterday.
7/27/2013 8:30 AM 0.04 M M M M This is the time of year that it's usually most likely for us to get up into the high 90's and even 100. With lows in the 50's and highs around 80 accompanied by intermittent rain, you will hear no complaining from me.
7/28/2013 7:00 AM 0.03 M M M M This was from intermittent light drizzle. It's overcast with temps in the 60's. It still feels like May rather than July and I'm still happy about it.
7/29/2013 8:30 AM 0.10 M M M M a non-trivial amount of rain
7/31/2013 7:00 AM 0.09 M M M M This makes six days in a row of measurable precipitation. We have had 15 days of measurable rain in July and a few traces, but it has only totaled 1.06". It's better to have this spread out than all in one t-storm as it has kept temps down and ET down. We need higher totals to break the drought though.
8/3/2013 8:00 AM 0.05 M M M M
8/4/2013 8:30 AM 0.65 M M M M We had quite the downpour in the late afternoon. Luckily we were spared the large hail that fell out east of town. I guess that's the first week of August for you!
8/12/2013 8:30 AM T M M M M two separate traces

5/9/2013 12:30 PM It was all small hail, so there was no damage, but there was quite a bit of it! 1/4" Pea Size 1/4" Pea Size Rice Hard|White Ice 15 10min no damage Continuous False Before rain Same time as smaller hail 10-20
6/28/2013 8:00 PM There is more damage from wind than hail. I wish we had an anemometer as winds I would guess were in excess of 50 mph at their peak, strong enough to down small branches. The hail was a mix of white ice and clear ice. Most of it was pea sized and honestly not large or hard enough to hurt when being hit. Unfortunately we did not have a hail pad. 3/8" 1/4" Pea Size Rice Hard|Clear Ice|White Ice 20 10min minor leaf damage Intermittent True After rain Same time as smaller hail
