A snow shower after 8 Am reduced the visibility to about a mile next to the ground and dropped a dusting of snow which also blew around. It is 5 degrees this morning.

A thin coat of snow and sleet covered the highway north of River Sioux, but it wasn't especially slippery. Some which fell on bare ground partly melted and refroze. The ground is crunchy underfoot. The temperature reached 38 in the evening, and northwest wind gusted to about 40 MPH.It is 15 this morning.

One inch fell by shortly after 3PM Snowfall rate averaged about one inch per hour for much of the late after noon and evening. The strongest wind was about 25 MPH so drifting wasn't a big problem here. it is 15 now.
