(gauge measurement was only 0.33") that changed to snow in early afternoon. Around 4:00, the wind became fierce and I was stuck between work and home driving in mostly whiteout conditions (took 30 minutes to drive 7 miles) but arrived home safely. High winds also created a layer of ice under the snow when still wet pavement was flash frozen. Extreme gauge undercatch likely because of high winds. I was not home to change gauge out when winds picked up.

At 2:00 AM, water was over the road in many places (including a state highway) and halfway to our house in front and back yards (I've never seen flooding this extensive). Also, the town sewer backed up into our house at 2:00 AM and we ended up with 14" of water in our basement. Most of the houses in town had some sewer water in their basements (the worst report I heard was 4 feet) because the creek that the storm drain pipe empties into was so swollen. Also lost our internet connection (it starts in basement) and could not report till now. Big cleanup in progress.
