I spotted a Bobcat about 100 yards away from my rain gauge. I had been hearing his "caterwauling" over the past few days. |

Rumbles of Thunder heard to the south and north between 8pm and 10pm last evening, but little rain at our location. A strong Thunderstorm at 1:30am.... brief heavy rain, a bit of pea size hail, and strong gusty wind. It lasted about 10 minutes. The NWS issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for this storm. The high temperature yesterday was 72F, the low 42F, and the current 7am temperature is 54F. It is cloudy and calm at 7am. Daffodils and Star Magnolia's are in bloom, with a few Pink Magnolia's and Forsythia's as well, but Spring is late this year.... maybe by 3 weeks or longer! |
