10/2/2012 5:30 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Wow, when I went out at 5:00 this morn to let my puppies out, I thought, "How warm it is". When I came in and looked at the thermometer it says "54.56°". No wonder it feels warm. And there's almost no wind. BP is 29.98 and falling, RH is 38%. Skies are nearly clear with the moon going down.

10/4/2012 6:00 AM 0.29 M M M M It rained/snowed/sleeted though out the day yesterday. We had about 1 1/2" on the ground at one time, but it melted much as it fell too. I measured the tube at noon and we had .19" in the tube at that time and this morn another .10" at 6:00 a.m. That's a total of .22 inches from this storm. This morn it's very icy on the deck and cloudy. It may be frosting, can't see much at 6:00. Temp is 31° with no wind. BP is 30.29 and rising, RH is 82%.
10/5/2012 5:45 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M No measurable moisture in the tube since yesterday morn, just a trace. This morn it is foggy and I think it may be snowing lightly-too dark to tell at 5:45. Temp is 30.6°, BP is 30.20 and rising, RH is 85%. This will be my last report until Oct 24 or 25 as we are leaving on vacation this morn. We will be south in Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta and around Sedona, NM and seeing sights like Grand Canyon and some of the Utah parks. Keep warm while we're gone.

Puppies sure didn't want to go out in it this morn. BP is 29.86 and falling RH is 77%.

Then it was varied sun and clouds in the afternoon, but the temp got up to 62°. No more moisture overnight. This morn is gorgeous with a big moon going down and almost clear skies and NO WIND! Temp is 41.8°.

I was surprised when I just emptied the rain gauge at 5:50 this morn and there was only .11". It is partly cloudy with big fluffy clouds you can see by the moonlight. Temp is 38.9° with a wind of 6-10 mph from the SW bringing the windchill to 31.3°. BP is 29.96 and rising, RH is 71%, up from 37% yesterday.

I leave today for my daughter's family's semi annual bull sale so will be gone a week to Sheridan, MT for that. So this will be my last report until probably next Tuesday. I got my small evergreens watered for the fall so I'm ready soon for the snow. This morn we have 47° w/a 38.3° WC and 8-12 mph S winds. BP is 30.14 and falling, RH is 69% and there are high thin clouds, it looks like in the light of the small moon left.

They are closer to the ground, being Dachshunds, but I was upright and vulnerable. We still have 20-50 mph SW winds this morn and a temp of 51.7° with a near 35° WC. 11/22/2012 6:30 AM 0.09 0.3 0.09 0.3 0.09 Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving everyone. It was another WINDY day yesterday, but then it died down and darkened down about 2:00 and started to rain about 3:30. I measured at 6:30 when the rain was done and the snow had started. We had .06 in the tube at that time. It snowed till about 8:30, I suppose and I went out to sweep off the decks then. We had another .03" in the tube then and got about 1/2" of snow. So we got a total of .09" of moisture, VERY THANKFUL for that. Have a wonderful day with your families, if possible.

We will have family for Thanksgiving dinner today. I'm very thankful for family.

12/3/2012 6:00 AM 0.20 M M M M The wind was an absolute hurricne yesterday with wind to 70 mph and gusts greater. Thankfully last night about 6:30 we had a terrific sleet storm for about 15 min then the wind died down and it rained from about 6:45-8:15. I measured the tube at 8:50 p.m. and we had .19" in the tube. This morn we have another .01 in the tube and the winds are light-from 14-20 mph from the W. Temp is 33.5° w/a windchill of around 154. Then it clouded up, the temp dropped and began to snow lightly. By 5:30 it wa snowing pretty good. Was still snowing by 9:00 p.m. and don't know when it stopped. This morn we have 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Hard to tell as it drifted a little and the snow was all on one side of the tube. We got .20" moisture out of that and are thankful for it. We have 27.5° this morn with no wind and cloudy skies. Didn't think it was that cold when I swept the decks off because of no wind. BP is 30.13 and rising RH is 77%. Skies are clear.

Most of it melted soon. This morn we just have a thin layer of ice. No new snow is still laying. Have a few small drifts of old snow around, but not much. I think it might have gotten to about 12° yesterday. When I came home to walk my puppies it was 11° w/a -2 windchill. They weren't impressed. We have a few short flurries yesterday leaving nothing on the ground. But it is still snowing now and our moisture tube shows .11". I'm SO HAPPY! bp IS 30.19 and rising. RH is 83%.

They were quiet when I went out and swept the snow at 6:00 and now at 6:30 we have a 6-8 mph SW breeze. It snowed an inch and we have .03" out of that. The temp is 29.5, BP is 29.67 and falling, RH is 84% and it is trying to lightly snow a bit more.

This morn we have 19.3° w/only a slight breeze barely starting. BP is 30.01 and rising, RH is 72% and skies are mostly clear with a nice moon going down in the west. I measured about 6:00 last eve. Then overnight, don't know the times, we got another .3" and another .03 in the tube this morn, making our 24 hr total .06". Most of what came down yesterday afternoon melted. We had a little left on the grass but none on the streets and sidewalks or deck. This morn we have 19.6° w/barely a breeze. BP is 30.03 and rising, RH is 73% and skies are cloudy, but it's not snowing at 6:15.

We had a, looks-like, fast and furious storm during the night, as we have a trace of snow on the deck this morn and .02" in the tube. Don't know what time it was and was surprised to see snow this morn. Very icy underneath so maybe it rained first. Our temp this morn is 32.2° w/a windchill of 18.5° and lower. We have a 10-20 mph SW wind and it is rising now at 5:30. BP is 29.82 and rising, BP is 58% and skies are mostly clear now. This will be my last report until after March 18 as we are leaving for a Hawaiian cruise. Hope you all stay safe and warm.

BP is 29.72 and falling, RH is 78%, skies are cloudy. It got to 50° yesterday, but was windy all day.

Sometimes it would snow very hard. It kind of let up around 6:00 p.m. and I measured 1.3" of snow and .10 in the tube. We had a trace after that and got .01" out of that this morning. We have 13.7° at 6:30 a.m. and no wind, cloudy skies. Looks like we could get a little more snow, hard to tell. BP is 30.13 and rising, RH is 78%.

A half moon is high in the sky.

I measured at 2 p.m. yesterday and we had .39" from my morning report, then I measured at 6 p. m. and we had another .40" and this morn at 7:00 we have another .33", makinag our total 1.12" from my report yesterday morn. Praise the Lord! I'm loving it. Temp is 45.7°, BH is 30.15 and rising, RH is 95% and still raining.

I can't remember a time since I started measuring when we've had that much moisture in that little of time. Praise the LORD!. I measured after that, about 6:30 and we had .04" in the tube. Then by 7:00 a.m. it was nearly clear again and it was a beautiful sunny day with wind yesterday. This morn at 5:30 we have mostly clear skies, no wind yet and 32.8°. BP is 29.97 and rising, RH is 75%.

It was still raining pretty hard at that time. The hail probably last about 15 min. Then it rained all night and it still raining lightly this morn. We have 1.03 in the tube this morning. That's the most I've seen in the tube in that amount of time for ages. We have a temp of 45.4° with a 5 mph S wind. BP is 29.76 and falling, RH is 88%.

Yesterday afternoon I measured at 2:30 after it had rained all morning since my report. I measured .34" in the tube at 2:30. It started raining again about 4:00 p.m. and I measured at 6:30 p.m. We had another .11" in the tube then. This morning we had .01" in the tube, making our 24hr total to this morning of .46". I will make my next total tomorrow morn if we get more, which we haven't so far by 1:30 this afternoon-Thursday.

Good thing. When I got home at 8:30 I measured the tube and we had only .07" I think they got more than that in town. We got just another .01 overnight. The moisture is so heavy in the air this morn, it feels like you could cut it with a knife. The RH reads at 91%. Temp is 46.8°. BP is 30.07 and rising. There is no wind and skies are totally cloudy.

7/6/2013 5:30 AM 0.34 M M M M I did my report at 6 a.m. yesterday. It was cloudy, but I hadn't a clue what would happen within a half hour. At about 6:30 it started to thunder and lightning and then the downpour came. It rained HARD for about and hour and we got .21 by 7:30. Then I went to help clean up the rodeo grounds at 8:00 and it rained on us till about 10:00. I measured at 11 a.m. and we got another .12" of moisture. After that the rest of the morn only .01". It cleared up in the afternoon then in the eve I thought we'd get more, but only a few thunders. So a total of .34 for the past 24 hrs. This morn we have clear skies, a temp of 53.3°, BP is 29.96 and rising, RH is 81% and only a slight wind out of the S. I'm taking a 5 miles hike with some of my church friends today.

This was the fourth time she had broken this same leg in her life time. I asked the Lord not to let her linger and suffer and He didn't. He took her home to be with Him at 7:20 that eve. I am SO THANKFUL to know where she is. I hope everyone celebrates our Lord today on His Day.

So far the only moisture we've had during August is .09" -combination of Aug 2,3, 9 and 10. We NEED moisture badly.

Yesterday it started to rain, big drops, about 5:00 p.m. It had thundered some before that and was dark, but the rain didn't start till then. By 9:00 p.m. we had .14" in the tube. Then it rained another .12" overnight. So a grand total of .26. Yay! This morn we have a 7-12 mph SSE wind making our 56.6° feel about 10° cooler. BP is 29.97 and falling, RH is 88% and skies are mostly cloudy.

It wasn't raining when I went to bed about 10:00 and don't know what time it started, but this morn at 6:30 we have 44" in the tube. Praise the Lord! We need it so bad. Temp is 56.2°, BP is 30.01 and falling, RH is 91% and it's still raining moderately now at 6:30. Love it.

Then we have a shower last eve from 6:15-8:00 that gave us .20 in the tube. There was another .01 this morning for a total of .30" in the past 24 hours. Glad for all of it. God is so good. Scared my one puppy so that she wanted to get in bed with me. It sounded like hail, but am not sure as when I checked then at 5:30, it had stopped raining and the sky is clear. Had a lot of wind with that short storm. We got .09" out of that. Now we have 50.6° with no wind and clear skies. BP is 29.87 and falling, RH is 87%.

By 9:00 p.m. we had another .12", then another .04 overnight to make a 24 hr total of .29". We are thankful for that. I even planted some new grass in bare spots yesterday. 9/25/2013 6:45 AM 0.11 M M 1.0 M Yesterday it started to cloud up in the afternoon. About 8:00 we had a lot of thunder and lightning. Then we got a terrifically HARD hail storm. I didn't go out in it, but we still have about a 2" deep, about 1' long X 3" wide pile of hail in the one W corner of the house. It really came down hard and fast. We got .11" out of this and the ensuing rain storm,. This morn we have 39.4° with only a slight breeze out of the N. BP is 29.71 and falling, RH is 85%. Skies are mostly cloudy. Our company of 25 people for 10 days is all gone and tonite we have 2 more coming for another week. Then maybe things will quiet down. It's the most relatives we ever had together and was great for my mom's memorial.

Went to the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM, then to Sedona, AZ, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Zion and Bryce National Parks and home through UT and ID. The only real bad weather we hit was close to home between Dillon and Butte, MT. We drove our motorhome and took our two Dauchsies with us. I emptied the rain gauge yesterday and there was only .15" in it. I'm sure there was more moisture while we were gone, but didn't have anyone to check it, so that's all the report I have. I'll be back on track now.
11/8/2012 11/12/2012 12:00 AM 5 0.82 10.0 M I was gone for a week. My husband measured on the 8th and got .02" of moisture from rain. When he got home from the bull sale where I was he measured the eve of the 11th and there was .80" of water in the tube. He saved that to show me. He said we had about 10" of snow, but that it had rained some before that. He was home the 10th and 11th, but didn't measure until after the storm was over on the 11th. Still blowing like everything though.
3/7/2013 3/19/2013 12:00 AM 13 0.22 M M We left on a cruise trip to Hawaii on March 8. Our house/puppy sitter measured the moisture while we were gone. These are the moisture measurements though she did no snow depths. 3/8=.01, 3/9=0, 3/10=.02, 3/11=.02, 3/12=0, 3/13=.10, 3/13=0,3/14=.01, 3/15=0, 3/16=.01, 3/17=.01,3/18=0. We were home on the 19th, but I couldn't get on the internet. We got .2" of snow and .05" out of that. Some may have been from the day before. That is .24" of moisture while we were gone.
4/10/2013 4/24/2013 12:00 AM 15 0.56 M M I was gone 10 days. Our house caretaker measured as best she could, but I'm not exactly sure of her measurements. As near as I can tell from what she recorded, the moisture while we were gone came to .56". She would tell us over the phone that we had 1 or 2", but she didn't record the amount of snow. So I'm BACK!

On 6/13/2013 he measured .21" and on 6/14/2013 he measured .29 giving us a total of .50" while I was gone. I am not sure of the time he emptied the gauge and measured though.
6/29/2013 6/30/2013 8:00 PM 2 0.29 M M I was not able to make a report yesterday. I can't remember what the notice told me, but I tried twice and couldn't get through. We had a real dump of a rain on Saturday eve around 6:00. I measured at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday eve and we had .28". We got another .01" overnight so my 6/30/13 report should have been .29".
