I do not have a snow board yet. Yesterday's measurement came from car surface because it was stationary for the duration of the Mar 5 reported snow up to 7:00 am. It was not stationary for the Mar 6 snow. All other stationary objects have both the Mar 5 and Mar 6 snows plus melting during Mar 6. So no accurate measurement areas. Mearsument taken in one of those areas was 0.6 inches at 7:00 am today, but obviously not representative due to melting. |

Got a brief shower started on 3/18/2013 at 10:47 am EDT and it accumulated 0.01 in. by 11:00 am EDT at this location. Then at 12:30 pm EDT, got relatively heavy rainfall amounting to about 0.07 in about 10mins. Also got thunder at about 30 sec intervals. Some heavy wind gusts at times, but I have no way of measuring that accurately and there was no tree damage so I could not use storm spotter guidelines. Activity lessened in about 10 mins. Total rainfall at that point was 0.08 in. At 1:00 pm EDT total was 0.11. At 2:00 pm EDT total was 0.15. I was away from the site from 3:00 pm EDT to 5:00 pm EDT but the total at 5:00 pm EDT was 0.71. Next reading was at 7:00 pm EDT and the total as 0.99. No more precipitation after 7:00 pm EDT. |

From 3/24/2013 7:00 am EDT to 3/24/2013 11:00 pm EDT, precipitation due to rainfall was 0.52 in. Emptied rain gauge and just left large cylinder overnight. Melted accumulated snowfall in gauge at 3/25/2013 7:00 am EDT and it measured 0.01. Snowfall fell during the night sometime after 3/24/2013 11:00 pm EDT. It was still snowing at time of 7:00 am reading. Snowboard had even accumulation of 0.2 in. However, snow on the ground (grass)was about 50% coverage and really could not accurately be measured with a snow stick. |

At time of measurement temp was 37 degrees. Measurement was taken of overnight snow. Don't know when snow stopped overnight. In addition, there was significant snowfall during the day of 3/25/2013 starting sometime after 7:00 am EDT and ending sometime before 12:00 pm EDT. A glance at snowboard at around 9:00 am EDT showed approximately 2.0 in. accumulating, but it was still snowing heavily and so I did not take a reading. When I returned home after 12:00 pm EDT, outside temperatures had risen enough to melt all of the snow, so I did not get an accurate reading of that event. The 3/26/2013 7:00 am EDT measurements of the overnight snow is relatively accurate because all of the CoCoRaHS measurement procedures were done for all reported measurements. |

Then just steady rainfall at about 0.20 in/hr until 4/12/2013 at 12:00 am EDT my last reading for the night of 0.90 in. Rainfall continued over night until at least 3:30 am EDT. Not sure when the actual rainfall stopped. It was not raining at 4/12/2013 at 7:00 am EDT. No hail was indicated on hail pad. Moderately high winds at 4/11/2013 at 9:00 pm EDT, but no noticeable damage, so I can't estimate the wind speed. |

I was able to submit the 5/10/2013 report, however I could not submit the report for 5/11/2013 and 5/12/2013. When I arrived home on 5/12/2013, my gauge contained an accumulation of 0.03 inches of rain. I have no idea on which day that accumulation happened. I emptied the gauge and this morning there was 0.00 inches. In the early morning, a very strong storm cell came through with large drop, very heavy rainfall, moderate wind and thunder. A small storm cell came through in the late evening with thunder and lightning and fairly heavy rain, but only for a short time. I don't think however, that this accumulation was totally from that cell. I think another one must have come through during the early morning hours, but I did not hear it. So I cannot account for the total accumulation. This morning the street was almost dry, but everything else was still very moist. |

Another reading was taken at 11:00 am EDT and it was 1.41 inches.Another reading was taken at 1:00 pm EDT and it was 1.91 inches.
