Hope barrels won't sit dry thru the summer here and crack in the heat. This delicious rain will help San Marcos Springs and Comal Springs in New Braunfels a little.

8/12/2013 8:00 AM 0.01 M M M M Just a sprinkle yesterday afternoon -- 2:30ish. Didn't even wet the ground. The perch in the small fish pond have eaten all the tadpoles. Their job was to eat the mosquito larvae. Now they have wiped out this year's crop of new toads. Also the cat killed the huge toad who was living near/in the pond. My efforts to promote the frog/toad population are singularly unsuccessful. I'll continue to try, however.
