Brought the whole rain gage in to wait for the slush to melt. Wow, another 0.56 for the alfalfa. Hope it does not freeze too hard tonight to destroy the alfalfa.

After winter conditions that brought us early green everywhere this spring, a dry period June 1 thru July 9 with only traces, then July 10 thru now we have had 3.58". Those who tried to harvest their second cutting of hay had trouble. Some are still waiting for a dry spell to cut their second.
