We were under severe weather alert at the time, possibly in path of tornado (fortunately no tornado). One other brief shower (and by brief I mean less than a minute) about 1 pm. And that only produced 0.10". We had ponding in our ditch, and while driving yesterday afternoon on Grove Road from Plainfield Road in Oswego, ponding was observed in all the ditches between Plainfield Road and IL 126. There was some ponding observed in one empty cornfield just before Cherry Road.

While at the Menard's in Montgomery (near intersection of US 30 and US 34), there was a brief downpour. Lasted about 3-4 minutes, and sounded like someone turned a hose on the roof. It never rained that hard here - just some really gentle sprinkles.

There is minor ponding in our ditch, but locally Waubonsee Creek is way up, to the point is was 2 years ago during a flood. Also, there are small ponds forming in several farm fields nearby, with runoff topping some of the drainage culverts. We've just had so much rain in the last few days that our ground is beyond saturation.
