Cool and damp, a few drops of rain. One surprise, however, was spying a newly-minted spider's web in a small bush near the gauge. Large drops of dew were embedded in the lacy strands. I thought that after the recent cold snap all spiders had perished. I blew gently into the web and saw the spider move; she was no bigger than a pencil eraser. Neat. |
