After 8AM, rain, then heavy graupel fell intermittently for the next half hour. Using photograph and ruler, measured largest graupel stone just after it fell at 6/16ths inch diameter, or .375 inches. Had to round up .25 inch of graupel on ground at obs time to .5 inch. The graupel which fell over pavement has already melted. No precip fell during obs time.

The measurements were made as far away from these piles as possible. The drainage areas of the backyard are working hard this morning. The ground is soft, in some spots, squishy.
