Yesterday 2/6/2014 snowed steady until 12:30 then on and off until after dark. average depth at 9:05 AM 4.5 inches by 12:30 PM average depth of 4 measurements was 10.5 inches. water content of core 0.72 inches.

Rain gage 0.70, depth of snow average of 4 measurements 10.5 inches, no new snow. Trees beginning to melt but rain and treesnow fall ended up as a coating of ice on twigs and leaves, a silver thaw. By yesterday 2/09/14, 4pm most of the accumulation of ice and snow on trees and shrubs had fallen off. Core sample 02/09/14 1.93 inches. Today 0 accumulation in gage, snow depth average of 4 measurements 8.5 inches, core sample 1.76 inches. Warmer this morning no top layer of ice on snow.
