At 5:12 moderate showers began suddenly and continue, varying between moderate and light. Probably due to orographics due to moisture ahead of the front. Winds are slowly picking up. |

But I guess the highlight is that I emptied the rain gauge at 10 AM and noticed that I could actually see the gauge filling real time. At 10:08 I went out and noticed it had filled to 0.48 inches, a rate of 3.6 inches per hour. Didn't last long as the total after an hour was 'only' 1.16 inches. |
