Clear and it is 58. High was again a hot 95. Then at aprx. 8:30 pm the breeze shifted and you could feel a fog bank in Pacific Ocean making it's way thru Tomales Gap. By 9:30 pm I was shutting windows and it was 62 with cool moist breeze. I couldn't see any fog when took dog out at 11:30 pm. I don't see any lingering fog however there is condensation on under side of awnings for the first time since 30th showing it was on at some point. |

Yay more than 1" in a 24 hour period! Now when rain lets up my truck can finally get washed for 1st time since early April!!! I made a pledge back then I wouldn't till more than 1" in 24 period due to drought. Windy and it is 54. High was 56. Low was 52. At 9 pm gauge was at .43. Thunder & lighting to the south over Petaluma and Marin from 10 pm to 11:10 pm. Confirmed with friend in Petaluma. Thunder would start out softly than build into a long rolling loud finish. At one point when it was closer with a 3 second delay from strike to roll at 10:23 pm house shook. Called in a spotter report SO-85 at 10:55 pm. Thought was done then turned in a severe weather report & mping for closer strikes at 11:20 pm & 11:45 pm. So far it seems to be soaking in as no mini lake in backyard like there would be later in season with this much & several days in a roll. |

This precipitation is from a wet drippy dense fog. Currently it is 57. High was 65 & low was 45. When went into home depot store on Redwood Dr in Rohnert Park at 7:20 pm it was overcast with some fog. When I came out at 7:50 pm fog was down low & swirling around parking lot lights with aprx 1/2 mile visibility. Came home via Wilfred to Stony Point to RPXWY to Verde Circle. Fog was dense at less than 1/4 mile visibility until I reached Verde Circle where the homes & pavement made it aprx. 1/2 mile visibility. So called in a Spotter report at 8:09 pm (SO-85). Fog become wet & drippy so it was dripping off tree branches at 12:30 pm. |

Rainfall started late in afternoon. It is 59, had 1.52 by 10:17 pm with .79 falling between 9:20 - 10:17 pm. Called in a spotter report at 10:45 pm. At 12:2 am only .13 more, by 3:37 am another .31. At 7 am aprx. 1.30" & since was pouring didn't empty which by 10 am had grown to 2.09" for a total of 4.05".
Just called a spotter report for amounts & flooding. RPXWY West was closed at Verde Circle going out to Stony Point a bit b4 8am. Our Mobile home park streets have been flooding (Verde Circle & courts) for aprx. last hour since my court is flooding & it is one of highest. Office just confirmed this as they wouldn't let fed ex deliver to me because of flooded streets. I am Spotter SO-85 & will also due severe weather report. Was out on coast wave watching yesterday. Rain stated there at 2:20pm. Between 2 pm & 3:30pm waves became much higher & stronger. Sent videos to NWS office.

While driving home it was almost dense in spots with about 1/2 mile visibility. Had to use intermittent wipers. When coming home at 8:45 pm as soon as we reached the top of the Cotati Grade headed down into Rohnert Park it was still clear enough to see some stars. |

Clear and it is 51 out. High was 64 except for when the thunderstorm came thru between 1& 2. During time this happened temp dropped a few degrees. I was in Petaluma on East Washington St. almost to Old Adobe Rd. at 2:15pm when I saw a big bolt of cloud to ground lighting come down aprx. 5 miles to S/E in between Hwy. 116 & Hwy. 121. Did not hear thunder. Turned in spotter report to NWS and did a CoCoRaHS severe weather report. A few minutes later was in Penngrove and there was hail on ground all over the place. It was on ground & indents on roofs. A garden store employee said it happened a bit b4 2 pm with strong cold gusty winds. Thirty minutes later when I arrived lots left not in direct sun. Remaining bunches contained many stones the size of peas. Employee said people outside were saying ouch when hit. Wind & hail knocked over a few of her metal garden decor figures. Did not turn in a 2nd spotter or severe weather report since it was 30 minutes after event. Low was 36. |

Yay, it is overcast with fog! Mother Nature's air conditioning is back! Currently it is 61 with a light barely there breeze. The smoke seems to have dissapated or blown in another direction as the air doesn't smell of smoke & I can be outside without it hurting to breathe. HOPEFULLY THIS MOISTURE IS REACHING IN WHERE FIREFIGHTERS ARE AND HELPING THEM A BIT. High was 93, however by 4 pm it had dropped to 85 with onshore wind fighting with offshore wind for control. Onshore won and temp kept going down so that at 7 pm it was 64 and you could see fog approaching. Low was 58. |

Clear and almost calm and already 68. Today is 2nd spare the air day. Yesterday it was med quality with east & some south bay locations as unhealthy. Today we join the unhealthy ranks. Of course we are not near as bad as central valley where smoke from Rough fire is keeping kids inside at recess. High was 99 between 2 & 3 pm before dropping to 97. Some clouds with a light breeze and it is 65. Humidity feels higher this morning, almost as if the fog that formed and came in at coast made it here or almost here last night or early this morning. High was 99 with just a light breeze. Low was 54. Was out at coast in afternoon. At Duncan's Landing at 5 pm there was just the barest of a patch of fog way out over ocean. Fog increased steadily and by 6 pm you could see where it was trying enter inland at Jenner. By 6:15 pm at Arched Rock Beach it had covered Bodega Head. As we were heading home going back by Bodega Bay fog was pouring into bay & town over Bodega Bay peninsula. Took a progression of fog pics showing this. Also off Duncan's Landing & Portuguese Beach area were 2 different groups of whales hanging out. |

Some high clouds and it is a nice 56 with breeze that feels like it is from the ocean. High was 95 on an afternoon with some clouds, muggy feeling and only a light breeze, it was still 68 at 9 pm. In late afternoon I could occasionally feel a gentle touch of a breeze from ocean trying to make other inland. Low was 53. I didn't see any fog but it feels like it was here earlier. |

Lots of high clouds with yellow tint in air from smoke from Valley fire and it is 65. High was at least 88 and humid. That was temp at 6 pm when i arrived home from upper Napa Valley. I was over in Calistoga & St. Helena finding places to put up CoCoRahs flyers when fire erupted. High there was 93. The smoke plume was ugly, big and a brown / purple tint from the start underneath the clouds. Clouds were remnants of Hurricane Linda. I pulled over a few times for fire crews racing to fire on Hwy 29. The first few times seemed kinda normal. However as more & more screamed past you knew it was big. Coming home via 121 as I reached Stornetta's Diary the wind was blowing and gusting swirling dust from recent plowings all around. Looking thru gap towards Sonoma you could see more dust blowing around. Pulled over once more as I reached Fremont Diner. At first when you pulled over it was just single engines racing by. Then it was groups of 2 or 3. |

Ending up turning on heater to 67 as house was down to 66 by 12 pm. High was 70 a 26 degree difference from 96 from 24 hours earlier after fog burned off between 11 am & 12 pm. I was shutting windows at the same time 24 hours prior that I was turning off ac and opening them. |
