We had a substantial wall cloud form on the top of the Palmer Divide about 4pm, but there were no flow tubes and no turning. It retracted and went off toward Limon area.

Wall cloud with small tornado wannabe's coming out from the bottom formed about 4:30 pm over Elizabeth and slowly moved to the northeast for awhile and then turned east and came straight over my house. Ground winds came from the southeast to the south direction and then stopped all together when the storm approached about a half mile away. At the same time there was a large white thunderhead that had formed above the lower clouds whose southern edge was just over my house and heading south, then east. All of this was pretty slow moving. Hail started before the rain and would last about one minute each from 5:15 to 5:39 pm.The wall was directly overhead at 6:35 pm with light rain. Heavier rain started at 6:52 pm with lightening. The wall turning lessened a bit after my area, but was still visible heading east of Kiowa on highway 86, with less tornadic activity. Dodged a bullet there.

The lightening strikes were continuous every twenty seconds from from 9 pm until 9:45pm. Normally when the lightening strikes my silo it degausses and quits. It was hit at least twice during this time with no effect and hit electric poles and transformers repeatedly, even fence posts. It will be fun to see the nitrogen rings later in the season.

6/3/2015 5:08 PM This hail came from the east, very unusual for here, probably from a large white collapsed thunderhead whose eastern and southern edges were directly overhead. It moved very slowly from north to south and then northeast. A turning wall cloud with tornadic activity was moving from west to east under this cloud and passed over my house at about 6:35 and then rain started at 6:43 pm and became heavy at 6:52 pm but didn't last long. Hail came in short intervals, less than a minute each, at 5:08 rice and pea size, 5:15 3/8th's inch and 5:21 pm 1/2 inch. At 5:39 1/4 inch. I assume this was from the large white thunderhead above the wall cloud under it. Rain started at 6:43 pm with heavier rain at 6:52pm.
