Warm and partly cloudy in the morning. High 80s by early afternoon then increasing clouds. Thunder to the SW by 2:30 PM. Then a squall hit just before 3 PM with sideways rain and strong winds from the NW breaking off a few small branches. Both of my rain gauges (which read 0.30 and 0.33" respectively) each could have been short by as much as 0.10" as they both have some blockage from NW winds. Winds died down quickly and replaced by ten more minutes heavy rain. Then fresh and pleasant with temperatures near 65F remainder of evening cooling to upper 50s with mid level cloudiness this AM |
