If this is any evidence of what summertime temperatures will bring…we are in for a lot of weather stress ahead that will test us to our limits. For the meteorologists who continue to pay no heed to this heat: I find it difficult understanding your outwardly unawareness to the unusual weather taking place right now. Flooding from yesterday still remains, and today’s added rainfall only adds more problems today. Today I will now declare this flooding severe, not seen in more than fifty-five years at my location. I’ll estimate the current rainfall at nearly an inch per hour at its current rate. Rainfall note: With the addition of yesterday’s .54” of rainfall at my location, I have now recorded a record 19.1” of rainfall at my South Tampa location, breaking Tampa’s official 1949 18.59” record for rainfall.
