Half a mile above the lake here, we do not get some of the extremes of farther up the hill (except for wind!). Our 58" of snow is significantly less than, say, Auburn. Relatively a harsh winter, though, esp. since 1/27. In the 3 weeks since, 16 of 21 days w/ measurable snow, and 18 of at least a trace, for 36.5" in those 3 weeks, and it has only blown around, not melted. Our 8th sub-0 of the season last night at -4.4. |

Holy cow. After a dry September, is this the definition of "regression toward the mean"? Sump pump did not run all spring, despite the melt, but it's rolling now. Barely a tenth or so by 4pm yesterday, .34 by 6 or so, and .96 (another.62) by 9:30. That's another 2.40 overnight for the total. Still raining, but not heavily. |
