Just a few scattered light showers. Some of this wasn't much more than very light drizzle or mist. Even the "heaviest precipitation" was fairly light. Otherwise mild temps for October and very light winds with mostly cloudy skies. |

Light rain around midnight and then not much until after 2:00 AM. That portion ended just after five in the morning. There were two more shots of showers...Right after 10:00 AM lasting less than 2 hours with rain fairly light and move light drizzle between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. Skies overcast until later in the afternoon with some very short sun breaks. Winds breezy with temps cooler than previous few days. |

Very light evening winds became breezy and then windy by the later morning hours. Overcast skies broke with 3 hours of sunshine being recorded. Skies now clouding up with wind advisory and flood watch posted for incoming front. Once again temps mild to warm for this time of the year. |

Light drizzle in the later evening hours developed into steady light rain during the early morning hours tapering off after 3 AM. Then light scattered drizzle until afternoon when the "heaviest precipitation" happened. After this more scattered light rain. Skies overcast....A lot of the time very thick overcast making afternoon look like dusk. Winds mostly breezy to blustery with some periods of calm as low pressure center works it way up first the northern Oregon coast and now the Washington coast. Barometric pressure dropping fast and low. 29.24 or 990 MB currently. Temps cooler today but still somewhat mild. More of the same in the future according to forecast. |

Steady light rain continued from yesterday's update gradually picking up through the early to middle evening hours becoming moderate to almost heavy rain before ending suddenly after 8 PM. After a 2 hour break rain started again for about another hour....Stopped an hour or so before midnight and remained dry until about an hour before sunrise. Then light drizzle becoming steady light rain which ended suddenly early afternoon. Thick overcast skies broke and sun came out for a total of almost 4 hours. Breezy winds ease to light. Temps finally much cooler with mountain snow levels dropping to 3500 feet. Enough rain has fallen to create some minor street and field flooding. "Heaviest precipitation" could have been a 2 hour period including the shorter 30 minute period selected as well. |

Large front hasn't came up with the quantity of rain which was in the forecast. Rain has been fairly steady with the designated "heaviest precipitation" not being that much different than any other period of rain. There still seams to be more precipitation in this system though. Skies have been thick overcast with winds light to breezy. Temps mild with only 3 degrees between high and low. The same total this period being the same as yesterday's is just a coincidence. |

Pretty wet finish to a fairly wet October....Having spent most of this day outside I can personally attest to it being pretty damp. Light steady rain continued from yesterday's update becoming very light and scattered through the middle evening hours picking up the last couple of hours before midnight. Then a break until about 4:30 AM when steady light rain started and continued this way until around nine in the morning when it picked up and then dropped off to scattered and light through the mid afternoon hours. Some brief sun breaks in otherwise heavy overcast skies. Temps in the lower 50's which is somewhat cooler than lately. Winds very light. Enough rain has fallen today and lately to cause some minor local street and field flooding. |

Rain started as drizzle becoming light with this "light" rain lasting an hour before returning to drizzle which continues through update period. It didn't rain the whole period but did for a large amount of it. Steady drizzle continued from yesterday's update finally tapering out before 9 PM. Then there was pretty much no rain until the early morning hours with light rain starting after 3 AM. This only lasted a couple of hours before stopping again. More light rain fell between 8:30 & 10:30 in the morning becoming scattered light drizzle. This started to pick up about 1 PM and has pretty much continued right through this update. Temps of low to mid 50's is about average for early November. Skies have been thick overcast making things dark and gloomy even during mid day. Light winds freshened and now are quite blustery. Enough rain has fallen of late to cause some minor street and field flooding. |

Daily total is NOT rounded. Light rain continued mostly on....And off from yesterday's update through the evening hours. It stayed at this same rate into the early morning hours before picking up for the "heaviest precipitation" time when .23 of the period's total fell. After that some showers and then light drizzle before rain finally stopped for the day. Overcast skies gave way to broken clouds and then sun breaks adding up to some 4 hours before clouds moved back in mid afternoon. Blustery conditions became breezy and then light to almost calm and remain that way currently. Temps mild with low of 55 and high almost 60. Enough rain fell to cause local minor street and field flooding. Flood watch for area rivers was canceled this afternoon about 1 foot below flood stage. |

Another day with out a drop of rain nor a cloud in the sky. Clear skies equal unseasonably cold temps but not super cold....Sun warms highs to mid 40's with lows in the low 30's. No rain again as the somewhat cold and windy and dry spell continues. NE winds persist with daily average wind speeds still from 15-20+ mph....Lots of gusts over 40 mph with occasional ones 50+. Forecast keeps extending this event now at least through the weekend which would make it a week long event. Temps still not super cold with lows in the lower 30's and highs still in the mid 40's with the winds making these feel much more chilly. Clear skies night and days with bright sunshine hours between 7 and 8 each day. |

Unusual November weather seems to finally be changing to more "normal" November weather. After 10 days plus in a row without a drop of rain (along with mostly light winds and a lot of sunshine) weather eased into something more November like starting on Thursday and continuing on over the weekend and into today (looks like more of same through Thanksgiving too). Today dark skies from thick overcast and winds becoming breezy and then blustery. Temps about normal to perhaps a bit mild. Rain started as steady light rain and then eased to steady drizzle right through update. A flood watch has been posted for local rivers with mountain snow turning to rain below the 7500 foot level. With .15 inches having fallen today it will have to rain a lot more over the next 36 to 48 hours for this flooding to happen...Or so it seems like to me. |

Most of the time when this update shows that the period started and ended raining it actually didn't rain the whole time. Today is an exception to that rule as it kept raining the whole time. Of course sometimes it rained harder than others. Periods of light drizzle were more common than say moderate or even period of light rain. Enough rain has fallen...And is still falling to cause some minor local street and field flooding. Several western Washington rivers have flood warnings. The local rivers are still under flood watches. Even though it rained the whole time the total was somewhat modest plus very little showed up on the radar either. Winds were very light but now are freshening some. Temps cooler than expected...About normal with constant thick overcast skies. |

Several of these were "candidates" for the "heaviest precipitation" award for the day before I settled on the one chosen. Unexpected squall hit during the early evening hours starting out as rain, turning to sleet and ending up as very wet snow which didn't stick...This becoming flurries later on. This all added up to the daily total. During this period a transition happened from warmer and wetter to much colder and drier. Winds from the SE and then SW and finally NW switched to the NE with the thermometer falling fairly fast. Temps went from the mid to high 40's to low 30's and finally low 20's with gusts over 50 mph. Overcast skies cleared with mostly sunny skies during the day and almost 7 hours of sunshine. High temp for the day of 31 degrees happened at midnight with afternoon temps not getting out of the 20's. Currently its 24 out with temp falling and blustery winds continuing from the NE. |

About an hour after midnight rain became somewhat harder and certainly more steady gradually tapering off until about dawn when the "heaviest precipitation" of the period fell....Almost half the period's total fell during that 35 minutes. With a flood watch and high wind warning in effect this storm basically fell short of expectations. Winds were/are blustery and steady but gusts fell far short of a high wind warning level. Rain fall amounts are modest as well with precipitation starting late in the event and falling as a series of shorter sets of showers. Barometric pressure has fallen to a relatively low level of 29.32 or about 993 mb. Skies have been mostly thick overcast as radar shows a lot more activity in the air that what's actually falling to the ground. |

Rain started as very light drizzle picking up slightly between ten and eleven in the morning. Then after a slight break steady moderate rain started and continued that way for some four hours with no real change during that period. After this rain tapered off and then ended for this period. .70 inches fell during that 4 hour period causing some local minor street and field flooding. Skies were thick overcast until right before sunset when cloud cover thinned. Winds were for the most part breezy and temps about average. |

Three sets of modest showers came through during the evening hours ending right after midnight. Then some light steady drizzle followed finally ending during the early morning hours. Overcast skies became mostly cloudy and then partly clear with almost 4 1/2 hours of sunshine today. Temps about average with winds lighter than normal. Combination of rain fall accumulations with high tides caused some continued minor street and field flooding at this site situated about 2 meters above sea level. |

From the early morning hours on some light but fairly steady very cold rain fell before ending around ten in the morning...Then one last shot in the early afternoon as overcast skies broke giving us 3 hours of sunshine. More clouds rolling in now with temps cooler than normal with breezy winds easing to calm at this point. |

Like yesterday no rain today with skies just as clear (6 1/2 hours of sunshine again). Windy conditions eased gradually so by late afternoon they're light to calm. Cold temps colder with temp currently 28 degrees. Super high pressure with barometer high point of 30.87 inches of mercury or 1046.4mb. Pressure dropped slightly to current 30.81. and mostly steady. |

2014 ends with no rain. Totally clear for entire period with 6 1/2 hours of brilliant sunshine hours. Cool to cold temps with light to very light winds. As the year wraps up some notable things from this site:
Over 2379 sunshine hours which is most since site founded at start of June 2003 (installation of replacement solar sensor had some effect on this).
40.78 (or close to it) inches of rain which is second most yearly total to 2012 (Nov & Dec had very modest rainfall totals).
.134 inches rain/minute rain rate on 9/2/14 (9/3/14 CoCoRaHS date) site record as is 1.52 inches/day site record (1.29 CoCoRaHS date). This falls short of site record of 3.37 on 10/12/2003.
Record high wind gust of 71 mph on 12/11/14 with several gusts in the high 60's before this which were all record setters. Despite this yearly average wind speed of 8.3 mph is right in the fat portion of the 'bell curve.'
30.87 inches of mercury or 1046.4 mb high barometric pressure site record.
Well, enough boring weather stats....Happy New Year! |

Precipitation started out as very light drizzle/mist becoming light and steady rain just after 11 in the morning with a little break for 30 minutes before more rain until after three with one final last shot between 4:00 & 4:30. After this more light mist before pretty much ending right before update time. Somewhat breezy conditions with overcast skies and cold temps...Just not cold enough to snow. |

Precipitation started out as mist/very light drizzle with some light rain falling just after 8 in the morning. Light mist/drizzle continued from yesterday's update with some light rain falling during the evening hours pretty much drying up an hour before midnight. Then not much until some light drizzle started falling before five in the morning staying like this until right before 8:00 AM when rain became steady. This steady rain didn't vary much until about 3:00 PM when it started picking up...Becoming more significant through the rest of the afternoon getting harder all the time right through update time. Cool temps....In the mid 30's accompanied most of the rain until mid afternoon when temperature rose some 10 degrees and NE winds shifted to SE. Snow levels in mountains supposed to rise to 8,000 feet with flood watches posted. Overcast skies the whole time along with blustery winds. Enough rain is falling to cause local field and street flooding. |

Rain gradually picked up from where it left off yesterday until it hit a point where it as very steady moderate to hard rain. It continued this way from early evening until early morning. Rain continued uninterrupted until about an hour before noon when it tapered off. Since then it's been this persistent heavy mist which is still accumulating in the rain gauge. Enough rain fell to cause flooding in my yard surrounding the entire house and leaching into the garage....Which seldom happens. Breezy winds eased to light...Warmer temps did get as warm as in the forecast. Skies of course were overcast the whole time. This is the second largest accumulation of rain at this site since data has been gathered starting in June 2003. |

Very light rain started pretty much right at four and gradually picked up right through update. However while the ground got wet not enough rain fell to add up to minimum measurable precipitation amount...Thus it's a trace. Winds became breezier as the day wore on. Light rain/drizzle/mist continued through yesterday's update becoming just mist by middle evening hours. Not much changed until around midnight when precipitation picked up for a half an hour or so....Eased off and then picked up again an hour later. After this not much for several hours until about an hour and a half before sunrise when it rained steady for a couple hours. After another 3 hour or so break with just light mist more steady rain fell for around 3 hours tapering off for an hour before another hour of the "heaviest precipitation" of the period. Since then just light drizzle/mist. Skies thick overcast the whole time. Temps mild and winds rather blustery. Enough rain fell with ground now saturated to cause some local minor street/field/yard flooding. |

10 days and counting without a drop of rain. That's very unusual for February in Washington. It's a tale of two halves. First 13 days at least some measurable precipitation fell. Not a drop since. This is the closest to "normal" as this February as got. Average wind speed of 8.3 mph is somewhat low but most of that wind energy happened during the first 10 days or so. Since then winds have been very light with the last 2 days average of 3 mph being extremely light. Temps have been mild pretty much the whole month. Average temp so far of 48.9 degrees is very mild....Pulled down somewhat with overnight lows dropping into thee 30's over the last week....Result of clear skies. The daily high temp has exceeded 60 degrees no less than 4 times this month. So many days with clear skies have added up to 120 hours of sunshine so far. Mountain snow packs are just a fraction of normal. Flowers are blooming and my lawn is growing very fast. |

Temps mild....That is to say high of over 60 degrees was offset somewhat by low of 37 degrees with monthly average temp of @ 49 degrees. |

Rain fell as light scattered drizzle starting in the earlier evening hours eventually stopping. Precipitation started back up during the early morning hours with much of it scattered and light picking up slightly after 7:00 AM and lasting a couple of hours. Not much fell save just before noon until it started falling steady like just after 1 in the afternoon. It's pretty much stayed that way right through update time. Enough rain has fallen this weekend to cause some minor local field and street flooding. After light almost calm winds during the evening hours wind picked up and became blustery a couple hours before midnight and stayed that way until the middle afternoon when it eased. Temps only ranged between the low to mid 50's with skies overcast. Now that spring has arrived more winter like weather has shown up as well. |

A small short period of showers came through in the early afternoon accounting for the minimal measurable amount of precipitation recorded for this period. Otherwise skies were mostly clear with some 10 hours of sunshine recorded. Low was 44 while high 57 with a nice light breeze keeping things comfortable. |

No rain today as weather takes a turn though with rain in the forecast. After mostly clear but somewhat cool weather (especially overnight lows) skies have clouded up and it's become very windy with gusts up to 52 mph. Front is suppose to bring mountain snow down to the 2000 foot level with perhaps more falling in April than did in either January, February or March. |

Some unexpected showers fell during the morning hours making the pavement wet but not adding up to .01 inches. These showers were unexpected as the rest of the day...As were the last few days....Mostly clear and sunny. Overnight lows still quite chilly dipping into the high 30's. Highs just do get into the 60's with today's winds light. |

After periods of sunshine temps cooled and skies clouded over becoming rather thick overcast. Light drizzle at first with virtually all today's total falling during the "heaviest period." Temps dropped to coolest of day and breezy winds freshened. |

Dark overcast Autumn like day with blustery winds. Temps seasonably cool with low of 48 and high of 50. Rain started light and then picked up easing slightly and staying light and steady until late afternoon. Overcast skies are now breaking but other than that and it stopping raining nothing much has changed. |

Breezy overcast evening with continued cool temps but no rain. Very light rain/drizzle fell during the early morning hours ending after less than 2 hours with @ .01 inches of rain falling. A set of brief showers came through before the noon hour lasting perhaps 15 minutes and accounting for an additional .02 inches or rain. Overcast/mostly cloudy skies then broke and the sun came through off and on until after 2 in the afternoon. Skies then became thick overcast and angry looking as a thunderstorm moved over this site. About 10 claps of thunder accompanied at least as many lightning strikes much of the thunder happening within a few seconds of the lightning. Relatively heavy rain fell during this 20 minute period with .12 inches of rain falling along with some small hail. Skies then cleared as light rain continued to fall at the same time as the sun broke through and is still shining with the last .01 inches falling during this post thunderstorm period. Breezy conditions continued through the morning and into the afternoon. When the thunderstorm came over winds became gusty topping out at 42 mph. They then calmed dramatically and now consist of a light breeze. Overnight low temp of 46 degrees was almost matched during the thunderstorm. High happened just an hour later of 57 degrees. |

After overcast night with breezy cool conditions a set of showers came through in the morning. After these came breaks in cloud cover with some sun becoming totally sunny by noon with some 9 1/2 hours of sunshine. Despite this sun high temp was just 54 degrees with a low of 44 making today feel like late October as opposed to late April. |

We got every bit of this 20% chance of precipitation. During the late afternoon/early evening hours light rain/drizzle fell although not enough to account for more than a trace of the total. Then not much fell until right before 4 AM when it fell steady. It then eased but kept falling until late morning. When it stopped the sun came out and with NE winds things got rather warm this afternoon with high topping out at 73 degrees after an overnight low of 50. Winds were mostly light. |

It's now been about 5 weeks since the last "significant" rain fall (1/4"). Things are very dry with my front yard lawn already having died from lack of moisture. This plus the fact that the mountain snow pack was just a fraction of normal means that this is shaping up to be a very bad year for wild fires....Not just east of the mountain like last year but on the west side as well. |

While the doppler radar shows numerous showers in the nearby area not a drop has fallen at this site. This makes it over two weeks without a drop of rain. Today has been different since....While it started out somewhat sunny....Ever increasing clouds throughout the day have turned skies to overcast. It was thus somewhat cooler with the high of 69. There has been a light but steady SE breeze as well. The forecast calls for this weak front to last perhaps 36 hours or so. Clock is ticking for at least some needed rain to fall...Not only in the low lands but the mountains too. With the exception of glacier capped Mount Baker the North Cascades visible from this site are nearly completely free of snow already. |

No rain again today. We did have a marine layer of cloud cover though which was different than what it's been lately. Thus we've only had around 9 hours of sunshine as compared to 14-15 hours as of late. The low because of the cloud cover was 61 degrees with the high of 74 degrees making today's average temp of 68 degrees the warmest of a very warm year. |

Again no rain with today's sky perfectly clear and sunny. Overnight calm winds with breeze freshening slightly 3 hours on either side of noon. Now winds very light...Less than 5 mph. Today's high was 77 degrees with a low of 59 degrees. Today's average temp of 68 degrees is the warmest so far and seldom eclipsed even in August (warmest month here). NWS has posted a fire weather watch for this area (next to the water and usually the least dry area). A lot of the surrounding zones have fire weather warnings with temps predicted to be well into the 90's tomorrow and Sunday along with a chance of thunderstorms overnight. |

We got a short set of very light showers today but not nearly enough fell to even justify calling the amount a trace. Strange weather with temperature varying several degrees several times within a relatively short period of time. No matter what it was warm...Not hot but warm and very muggy with a low of 62 degrees and a high of 78 degrees which happened during an overcast period which happened about half of the time. Average temp was just short of 70 degrees. Winds were choppy...Variable speed and direction. Other places in the state recorded record high temperatures today and several wild fires have started. |

No rain again as skies were almost perfectly clear. The few high clouds that passed over were enough to drop the hours of sunshine from a max of around 15.5 to around 14 hours. Very light winds in the evening and overnight switched from the NW to the SE and freshened just before noon. It's been breezy all afternoon but with the winds from the SE temperatures rose maxing out at the yearly warmest of 82 degrees. With overnight lows of a balmy 65 degrees the average daily temperature sits around 73 degrees. Not much change in the forecast including the possibility of rain which is close to zero. |

July starts like June ends with dry weather and sunny skies and no rain. June 2015 had the least amount of rain for this site of any June in the last 12 years (beyond this is unknown). Likewise it had more sunshine hours and in fact the most ever for any month at this site. Monthly average temperature of 63.4 degrees rivaled the warmest August ever making this month top five of all time. Wind average of a modest 6.5 mph was lower than average as well. |

Light scattered drizzle basically continued from the previous update although there was a break between the two periods. This very light scattered precipitation continued until around 7:30 in the evening with it gradually picking up after that really taking of after 8:00 PM. It eased before ten and then went to scattered light rain until after midnight when another decently hard shot added another tenth or so. The water then basically shut off and nothing fell after. Overcast skies became partial clearing with some sunshine although much cooler temps as of late. Seasonably breezy winds which have been happening stretched out to a week or so. With this decent total of rain we're now close to an inch which is making this July ease from very dry to wetter than average. |

No rain today although a lot in the surrounding areas as thunderstorms pop up...Just not over us. Overcast skies until the afternoon with temps once again cooler than normal. Breezy winds eased this afternoon leaving things almost calm. |

A change in weather finally happens. Overcast to mostly cloudy during most of the period with the sun coming out in the middle to later afternoon. Temps cooler and only reached the middle 60's when the sun came out. Winds were practically blustery especially for August with average wind speed of 11.5 mph. Although only a modest amount of rain fell it was significant since no precipitation with sunny and warm temps are the norm as of late. |

Some very light scattered drizzle and mist fell during the afternoon hours off and on only never quite adding up to a trace....A very subjective amount to say the least. Some sunbreaks in the morning hours with overcast since then. Low of 60 degrees mild with a high of 72 even with overcast and drizzle making it rather muggy. Winds slightly breezy. More rain the the 24 hour forecast. |

Like yesterday, today had some very light scattered drizzle/mist....And once again due to subjective interpretation not enough fell to count as even a trace. By just after sunrise all precipitation ended with the skies clearing and over 12 hours of sunshine being tallied up. Temps even warmer today with a low of 62 and high of 75. Light breezy conditions and some broken clouds kept things feeling comfortable. Chance of any needed rain falling in the upcoming days is progressively less likely all the time. |

No rain again today. More clouds than forecasted but nothing wet produced. 56 degree low temp rose to 73 degrees now as the sun came out just after noon adding up to more than 7 1/2 hours so far. Overnight very light to calm winds have freshened slightly and swung to the NW which usually indicates a clearing and warming period in this area at this time of year. |

Another warm to hot day with no precipitation and hardly a cloud in the sky. Modest breeze with low of 61 and high of 75. A rumor of rain in the near future persists....We'll see withing the next 24-48 hours. |

Skies became overcast overnight and by an hour or so after dawn some sprinkles/drizzle started falling. It fell on and off (more off than on) until just before two in the afternoon when it picked up with sets of showers moving through ever since. Overnight very light to calm winds became breezy and then almost blustery (for August) just before first showers started. Barometer did a few crazy dances then too making big jumps up and down for a couple hours of so before gradually starting to rise. Low of 58 degrees and high of 62. Looked a bit more like fall than just past the mid point of summer. |

No rain today. This update like last 3 are notable due to the fact that weather would have been mostly clear and sunny. This has been altered due to all the massive forest fires east (and now west) of the Cascade Mountains. We've now had a constant high 'cloud cover' which is actually smoke but is keeping things insulated especially at night. No rain in forecast on this side of the mountains much less the east side which is needed to ease this serious issue. |

What a weather day today although I spent most of it at work trying to get the refinery back up and running after massive power loss. 500,000 customers lost power in Western Washington. In August we had wind gusts exceeding 67 mph which would be impressive for the dead of winter. Trees came down all over including one which hit our garage and travel trailer. The rain which fell started out light but then came down in torrents after dawn with .38 of the period's total falling during the "heaviest period." Hopefully with power and internet restored to our house it will stay that way but with a 60 foot tree hanging on the power/cable lines from the street to the house who knows? |

Rain started with sort of a burst in the middle evening hours. After that short amount it became light drizzle and then steady light rain before ending an hour or so before midnight. About 3 AM light rain/drizzle started to fall again becoming more steady about 90 minutes later. It eased to light drizzle after than with another stronger shot about 30 minutes after sunrise. Steady light rain then fell until about half past nine. Rain stopped again until around noon before starting again light with some stronger shots again. This all added up to .34 inches bringing us to the "Heaviest Period" which rain fell steady for an extended period of time. It finally eased about 40 minutes before the end of period although still falling light. This rain over the last few days makes this August one of the wetter ones at this site although not the wettest....Close though. Winds were very breezy especially for August and skies overcast a majority of the time with virtually no sunshine recorded for the day. Temps ranged from 59 to 63 degrees. Tree still hanging on our power/cable lines as we wait for power company to show up. At least we have power which around 25,000 Whatcom County residents still lack and even more south of here. |

Rain from yesterday's update eased to light drizzle and became scattered through the update period. There was a couple of shots of more steady stuff mid evening and then an hour or so before midnight. By midnight light rain pickup up and fell steady at a higher rate until the "heaviest period." Rain pretty much stopped then until noon when light but somewhat steady drizzle fell until later in the afternoon stopping for good....For now. Breezy winds have eased and now are light to calm. Overcast skies prevailed during the whole period with temps ranging from 58 to 63. |

Very light rain/drizzle fell through the previous update becoming lighter before stopping around midnight. We got about an hours worth starting at eight in the morning accounting for .14 inches of the total. The sun then came out off and on for about 4 hours with light rain starting and then a thunderstorm hit bringing an incredible amount of rain in a short period (1/2 of an inch during the "heaviest period" which lasted slightly longer than a half of an hour). Rain fall rate topped out at .17 inches per minute or over 10 inches per hour. We got one more shot of thunderstorm type rain before it all easing and finally stopping before the end of the period. There was some small hail mixed in with the heavy rain but not much. According to the weather program this is the heaviest rain fall rate ever since its inception in June of 2003. Temps also fell during this period dramatically falling from 67 degrees to 53 degrees in about 45 minutes. Blustery winds accompanied all of this as well. Rain fell fast enough and enough during the last several days that we got some minor street/yard/field flooding. |

Total is not rounded. .28 of this amount fell during the "heaviest period." Rain started out early in period but then eased to almost nothing. In then started to fall steadier becoming rather hard for that 65 minute period before easing but staying steady until around 10:00 PM. A few other showers fell with drizzle in between before becoming steady drizzle about 11:00 PM and staying that way until just before noon. Rain stopped and then overcast skies broke with sun coming out later in the afternoon. Temps ranged from 55 to 61. Winds were very light to calm. |

After a clear evening and then overnight and early morning thick fog a rather unusual rain shower event hit this site....Rain starting suddenly and stopping just as fast with it raining during this 10 minute period at a rate of .025 inches per minute. Rain stopped and skies cleared with sun coming out and shinning for some 8 hours today. Temps more fall like with low of 47 and high of 60. Winds were very light again save between about 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM with it becoming breezy before winds eased and now died down to calm. |

September ends with another perfectly clear and sunny day. There was some early morning light fog and moderate dew but nothing to interfere with the sun's rays making to my solar sensor. Temps ranged from 45 to 65 with winds extremely light. For the month lots of sun but also much more than average rain fall. |
