It was raining lightly when I emptied the gauge at 8 am. We took down all the Christmas decorations, and the house is back to normal.

The snow board also had a spattering of frozen ppt. A few ice pellets on the mulch in the rose bed and on the ice on the pond. I think it was probably sleet that melted on the warmer surfaces. I hope this was reported correctly. Sleet is reported as melted snowfall; no measurable accumulation so new snowfall and total snowfall are reported as a Trace.

There is 2 inches of snow on the snow board, covering about 1/4 inch of ice. I attempted taking a core sample from the snow board, but I was unable to collect the ice under the snow. The melted core value is 0.10, which does not seem to be a valid measurement so was not entered into the data report.

6/30/2016 7:00 AM 0.00 0.0 M M M Very pretty sunrise earlier - puffy gray clouds shaded with bright pink. We needed to pull the pump from the pond yesterday. The filter worked well for at least 10 years, but when it failed, it really failed! It pumped gray muck, not good for irrigation.
