.02 of total is from light rain showers—or possibly melted snow in earlier higher temperatures— that preceded yesterday's main snowfall; remaining .08 is melted core value from slightly under an inch of snow accumulation that fell yesterday and overnight. As of observation time this morning, precip. has ceased, but a bitter wind and cold has set in. Temp. 22F, made worse by a wind from the northwest averaging 6-10 mph; RH 78%, barometer rising slow at .043. |

.87 of that total is from a thunderstorm around 5 p.m. yesterday that dumped a lot of rain fast and resulted in at least some localized flooding. One woman's roof collapsed in on her south of Scottsville when the rainwater collected in an existing slight sag. Thankfully, she was not seriously injured, and responders saw a rare and intense double rainbow within minutes of the storm's passage. The remaining .06 balance came from an overnight shower. The bulk of this minuscule total came from a passing shower about 5:40 p.m. yesterday that produced a rather lovely rainbow in its wake. However, it's not impossible that a drop or two from the thick, London-like fog now enshrouding the area may have fallen into the cylinder gauge. The fog is thick enough as I write this as to be condensing on leaves and falling, making it sound as though we are receiving a light rain. Current temp. and dew point both 50F, RH 98%, no wind.
