Storm total of 22.5" exceeds my previous largest total of 22.0" in the January 1996 storm. Records here go back to 1988/89 winter, with this being the 13th ten inch or greater storm during that period. Moderate drifting in yard, major in nearby open areas. Peak gust here was 29 mph. Snowfall was measured using transects through the yard and is the greatest depth observed during the event (late evening as only flurries were falling. Snow water equivalent was measured from a core. The pack just compressed into the standard 4" cylinder to avoid having to take the core in multiple sections.
